It is March 24 2020. I am housebound due to coronavirus, so naturally decided to wash my car (for the first time in a year). Amazingly the exact situation of wanting to clean my car while having no access to a car shop selling shampoo has arisen (all non-essential shops are closed and ew I want to isolate). Thank you for doing this video back in 2017 so I can wash my car out here in 2020.
Prices are also a win here: Baby shampoo, $1.50. Dedicated car wash, $19+ Plus i have kids and babies, so i have so much of this stuff. Might try it out. Don't have time to run to the store which is 30 min one way to get car wash. Thanks for the review.
I sold my car several months back - I'm not motorcycles only - and discovered I had a big jug of car soap left over unused. I generally wash my hair with baby shampoo and when run out I'm going to use the car soap.
I love the smell of Johnson’s baby shampoo but it is actually designed to gently cleanse without removing the natural oils from baby’s delicate skin that’s why its ideal for use the day before you have your hair dyed because it doesn’t remove the natural oils from the scalp whereas normal shampoo would strip your scalp of natural oils that would of protected the scalp when dying the hair! So in a nutshell Johnson’s baby shampoo is not strong enough for regular use for an adults hair but ideal for just before dying your hair so keep a bottle in the cupboard! But used as a car wash if your car is really very greasy I’m afraid a baby shampoo won’t cut it.but if is not very dirty Johnson’s baby shampoo will give your car a lovely sheen because of the moisturising baby oils it contains.
Have you had negative effects with dish detergent or multipurpose cleaner? They say that theoretically it can be damaging but don't know of anyone actually had paint damage.
Step I add to the one bucket method after watching someone’s video (thought I’d share it here): 2oz-3oz of Adam’s Car Shampoo on a 32oz spray bottle. Every fresh mitt/pad gets a good spray (you can also spray car shampoo on the panel you’ll work on). Man, this gives you super slick water to work with! I feel like you get 100% out of the car product (again, super slick water). If you’re on a budget, this can replace car shampoo on the bucket. It kinda does save product
Ive pre rince diwn to start Then citrus pre wash in a sprayer , bubble bath over the top in foam cannon to only aid holding on apc to extend dwell . Rinse off and apply though cannon baby shampoo Then with trigger gun and wash mit i contact wash, to keep mit clean just blast off with trigger gun . No need for buckets all the time
Sometime when I take a shower, I would think can I use any of my shower products to wash a car! Before I watch this video I’m very sure this soap is 100% safe a wax! Good review, conclusion when you run out of car soap go to the bathroom!
That stuff will eat up your clear coat. If you spray water on it it bubbles up each time. You can not get it off, it will eat away until the paint fades off.
@@NiteRythemzRadio ya mixed opinions on it if you water it down enough I guess it won't stay in or ruin anything if you're careful. You can get it off no different to a dish plate. But to say that you can't get it off your paint . If you keep watering it down it eventually washes off again like your dirty plates. They use this stuff on ducks and birds as well
Why would you use baby shampoo? Because it's REALLY really REALLY REALLY really challenging to zip off to the store to grab carwash soap when you have a baby or babies or lil children playing or resting in your vicinity....if what's in the house is all you have.......? Your trial and errors are priceless!
came to this video after washing my car with menzerna mz wash and it smells exactly like j&j baby shampoo but is red in colour.... seriously hope they didn't just add a red dye to it and charge me 3 times the price
rockhills Idmf you are wondering if it's safe. Yes it is safe. Especially for the environment. Should you use it? That is a different story. I would just stick with a soap that is intended to do the task at hand. But that is just me. Unless that is all you have on hand and u need to desperately clean your car.
@@1992w0nderbOy well my ceramic coating is not working well but I dont know if its from using this soap or for other issues. Overall I am not impressed w/ ceramic coating
