Goodness me - I'm exhausted watching - I have to lie down to recover from the excitement. Wonderful to see a win and as always made even more memorable by the out of this world commentary 🙂
Great to see a glimpse of Tyler of the old, when he was opening the innings. He was methodical in his approach today and saw the team through. Good bowling by both teams. Sandeep's control is immaculate! He appears to have the ball on a string. Top game of Cricket!
We played against Chisoro last year (he was playing for Kelso), really nice guy. We were lucky and got him out cheaply, he then took 3 or 4 wickets in double quick time but we managed to hold on and won the match (a T20). Really enjoyed playing against him, and boy did he hit the ball hard! He's really a bowler, and showed his class.
Brilliant win Dan, and you kept so cool with the commentary, not giving anything away as to what the outcome might be. Really happy for Scaz this season too. T came good and Sandeep, who has also had a good season finished it off as only Sandeep can do, with a 6 more like one of your 9s. Safe in div3 now. Super cricket
Lovely to see all of the batsmen tuck the bat under the arm and walk off when they snicked it, excellent sportsmanship. Great win Sanderstead. In style too, with a 6 to bring up the victory. Enjoy a few 🍺 you deserved them.👍
I happened to have stumbled across your videos a few days ago, and I have to say that I have became a Sanderstead CC fan, and especially the main behind the camera and his commentary. I wish my local club would do this. Adrian, from Ushaw Moor, Durham.
I played at a low level back in the day. I wasn't a regular in my village team in the York League. Due to lack of bodies I was called up for a game. I couldn't bat to save my life but I could bowl quite fast but erratically. I found myself bowling at Alvin Kallicharran and he hit me for 20 something off one over at which point I was told by my captain to 'take a rest'. Bit of a claim to fame though.
On 0.25 speed playback and judicious use of the pause button, it does look like the slip catchers hands are under the ball, but only he really knows. It might have been gentlemanly for the batsman to ask him, but is that nieve of me?
Dan, were you drunk early? Before the 40th over you were caught on camera, claiming to the world that you thought Matt Harris was a genius 😮 And with that, Matt Harris is caught on camera, claiming that he could save the NHS if they were to shop at DFS for more beds😮 Hardly the mind of a genius in my mind😂😂
I pointed out a rare moment of cricketing genius by Matt insisting the field stay up instead of offering a single - wicket resulted. I agree with you that in any other use of the word “genius” Matt is unlikely to qualify 😂
The batsman’s gesturing and hissy fit at 0:51 was a slight hint of what was to come unfortunately Dan - great win by the lads. First time I’ve heard your frustration seep into your commentary but the opponent earned it with their salty reactions/appealing in the field. Hope next week is a little more chilled for you and the lads 👍
What a fantastic match and real credit to the great game of cricket. I've been a subscriber for a few years now and just wanted to thank you for such a great channel and for all the man hours of editing you must spend to put together the great match coverage vids...I fall into the category of 'Technically Challenged' so wouldn't have a scooby where to start lol. Thank you again!
Welcome back! We’ve had a crazy number of close ones this season. Our ground makes for entertaining cricket - quite small and with a good hard deck. Cheers!
@@SandersteadCCTV I had a great Sunday morning going through a lot of this season's videos! It is a lovely ground, I'd really like to come and visit it and see it in person!
So village that first LBW the umpire wasn't even standing in the middle of the wicket those languid check drives to the Boundry, bats have either got really good or the boundary is 25 m
@@stevenjohnston2263yeh totally agree, definitely a kink there shall we say and suspect if goes into county set ups he will need remedial work on that action
Tyler has always had a superb technique. He looks like a genuine top order bat, but i just think his confidence has been down a bit but hopefully this innings puts him in the right mindset to capitalise upon his ability. Great win.
What a performance. Batters, bowlers and fielders all put the work in. Yet to see Chris get a decent score this season. Why doesn't he drop to middle order and open with Jake and Sandeep or Tyler. Fantastic commentary and rapid editing.
Great watch that, Epsom realised not only did they lose the game but they lost their dignity with their early over the top celebrations I've seen teams underestimate the opposition many times in this way.
The ex-International all-rounder is certainly good at appealing. Shame the rest of his game seems to have slipped. Great, great match, and bloody well done Sanderstead for seeing it through to victory. This beats all that poncey pyjama white ball cricket any day of the week.
Thanks! The Zimbabwe lad has scored over 600 runs for Epsom, but on Saturday he came up against the 16 yr old destroyer of 1st class cricketers, young Josh Moore - what a lad!
Understand they are going for the title but calm down a bit lads, well done Sanderstead, looked a good side today, some of the bowling was first class.
Congrats from the Sanderstead supporters club (Derry) branch. Great stuff, shout out to the Sanderstead guys for not acting like eejits at every appeal or wicket! 😂
Good to see a highly competitive and aggressive club game on you tube. This was the norm during my 20 years playing in Australia, not so much in 6 years in England. Always the most satisfying wins and the toughest losses when you know that both teams were playing their hardest.
What a great game of cricket. Always the best type of matches and more so when you win. Good to see Tyler steering the innings to the end. Looks like he's building back up again with his batting and should be well set for a big season next year. 🏏
Scaz roll? If he just picked the ball up and got it in instead of rolling around like a dog competing for the 'clever trick' rosette at Crufts he might save a run or two....
What a game! Epsom thought they could have cried loudly to sway the umpires lol great knock from Tyler, needed a big innings. Epsom was horrid as a team
Saturday Evening - Quick flick onto RU-vid & see the upload. Nope, I can’t break the Sunday morning tradition! Sunday morning - Brew in hand, AirPlay onto the bedroom TV, here we go! Well, what a game & more importantly what a performance! Brilliant, brilliant effort from the guys & thoroughly deserved. Epsom come across as one of those team that you really want to be beat as they just come across as arrogant & very over exuberant! With that in mind, it makes that win even more tasteful! Really need to visit next year, be grand to see the ground in the flesh!
Wow! think that's the most emotional and exciting game you've ever had on the channel. Note to all teams that get overexcited it bites you in the backside sometimes, sounding like a combination of hyenas and Thai schoolgirls when they see a K-Pop singer...umm?? back in my pre-codger days we came across a guy who pointed to the pavilion when he took a wicket...got bowled first ball and 11 people kindly pointed the way in case he happened to have forgot where it was.
What an unpleasant bunch Epsom looked in this video... whinging to the umpires, excessive appealing, ridiculous over the top celebrations.. The reason club cricket is off putting to so many
They were a nice bunch after the game. I don’t think Epsom should be singled out, but I do wish teams would try and be more civilised (and we have our moments!) - it’s a hard world right now and cricket should be a force for good.
Thanks Dan. I'm sure they were, but you've got to respect the umpires & opposition while on the pitch too. (Admittedly, I've only seen these highlights, so I could be getting the wrong impression.) I've been watching most of your videos for a few years now, and I've noticed a rise in send-offs (and this bizarre whooping) at wickets, which reflects my own experience in club cricket@@SandersteadCCTV
True - thankfully, such stuff tends to happen very infrequently in the pro-game, I guess because fines/sanctions have teeth. It’s a pity the professionals behaviour doesn’t translate to grass roots more.
@@SandersteadCCTV Maybe a small sample but he looks to good to be coming in at nine. I've not been watching as many videos this season but they never disappoint. Thank you
I think that Zimbabwean got picked for international cricket by going into the selection meeting and shouting "Pick me... Pick me! PICK ME!" and eventually he pleaded so hard that he got his way. Unfortunately the same tactic didn't work when appealing to the umpires at Sanderstead. Well played lads, nice to see T making a good contribution and batting with patience and skill. Good bowling and a nice 50 from Scaz too. Well deserved victory that.
I enjoyed that. You could have cut the tension with a cricket stump. Alfie is a good bowler. Rarely bowls a bad un. Well done lads. Iain Leeds Yorkshire. 🏴
Fab, Sanderstead lads, absolutely fab! Epsom is as noisy as a bunch of sulphur crested cockatoos. Not on, really -- it smacks of attempted intimidation of the batters.
Thoroughly entertaining cricket and commentary. Well-deserved victory. That umpire was a procrastinating proctologist wasn't he? Took an absolute age before putting his finger up!
Tense!! Great result. And geez, Sandeep is such a valuable asset. I do wonder if the skipper would be better off in the middle order? When he is firing with the bat it's a show in itself. Well played you blokes. Good job.
Cheers! A rare occasion when the true potential of this team showed through….and you are absolutely right about Sandeep, he’s been immense this season.
I'm not commentating you I'm pleading. If you'd cut the grass it would have been a 4. Ah such commentating gems. :) Will and T did some great running together.
Very enjoyable at 125mph on the train home. Thoughts, Matt Harris talks some dross but this time has really topped it! Mikeys bootage, I can only presume that he learnt it from you! Thanks as always for the excellent commentary.
could add the wk to that as well, short little man syndrome he has !! Umpires will no doubt rarely report these breaches unless it's physical contact or racial. Most of them don't know what day of the week it is to even be able to write up a report
The opening batter moaning about being given out LBW (despite the ball clearly hitting him in line) set the tone. The whooping and hollering made Epsom look like a bunch of tossers who deservedly lost.
Great result and some lovely batting by T to see Sanderstead through. I bet Matt Harris was getting a bit of a sweaty jockstrap at the thought of batting after Alfie's wicket fell! 😆
