Might have been built in '78 but is definitely a '1979 model year'...'78 has ROUND headlights, '79 has RECTANGULAR headlights.

78 had square lights half way through the model year.. do your research before you try calling someone out..

@@paulcoffey6905 Ok Paul, didn't mean to 'ruffle yur feathers' ...just that these are my favorite years of trucks, I was a teenager when they were out and owned a few, so I lived through it. What you and I are saying is the same thing...the 1979 'model year' of truck WAS made in autumn 1978 through summer '79. Even though the build date was '78, the 'model year' is '79. Please Paul, don't be so upset, they still do the same thing today. I'm not trying to 'piss you off', just stating my truth.

ALL 79 were square headlights. 78 Customs were round. 78 Rangers and XLT were square headlights. I know a little about this because I bought them brand new back in the day. Best ever!

Love everything about it except for the color. Yellow and orange are my two "Hell no colors" lol. Even if it's any one of my dream cars on the dream car bucket list and is going for a real great price I still couldn't buy it.. I could have it repainted but I'll always know that it was a pumpkin or sunflower at one point and it'll ruin it for me lol.. Thanks again Nick for sharing this with us and I know that you won't have it on the lot for long. I'm guessing maybe a month at best!.

Yeah, me too. I really like the stock steering wheel. This sponge one is period correct 'aftermarket'. A lot of fellas replaced with these for the 'sure grip' and the perceived 'cool factor'.

If you currently have a jj best loan on a car your financing could you trade it in to your lot just like a regular dealership? I have a pretty mint 1972 GTO 4 speed that I’m kinda on the fence with.

Did he start out in first gear?! Shouldn't this be a granny gear? No signs of the classic ford 150 rust on wheel wells. Only one fuel tank. No cracks on dash board. Space between cab and bed seems parallel. No test of 4x4. Floor board rust out for left foot getting in? Buy it.

Parents bought 78 Bronco brand new with square headlights. I still have it. Both years 78 and 79 customs could still have round headlights.

For went every 6 months back in those days any true 78 will have round headlights the square ones are 78 and a half

Mr Howe is correct. The headlights were changed in 78 to square half way through the model year.

I've got a 78. 351M and 400 were also available. They were available with round or square headlights. Maybe changed from round to square half way through the model year?
