I have a 79 with 88k original miles, t-tops, A/C and 4 speed. Mechanically all original, the OG Quadrajet still has the plugs covering the adjustment screws. And everything works
This car brings back memories. In the late 80's I got my very first hot rod, and it was a '79 Z28. I had my license taken away 2 times in that car for doing burnouts---with the 3:42 rear axle, it would smoke the tires so easily. Someone got a really good deal on this car
When I look at this 45 year old Z- 28 the body is damn near prefect, for being painted once , for the composite parts are very clean and it do's not take much to improve this car with out tarring out anything on it. Nice car, nice price. Love it !
I have my doubts about it being a true 79 Z28, the badgeing is not there, it looks more like an LT with some Z28 Fenders, so In my eyes you have a clone,I owned a 78 Z28 an like I said it looks like to me again an LT,made to look like a Z.
@@anthonymurphy969 Many years a go GM would interchange parts in order to keep up with production and what was selling good at that time. They did it with Camaros and Chevelle's as well. Good question and I loved it. I know it's craze, but that's what they did.
Has rear defrost option, but the rear window been replaced, and rear flairs are missing. And rear tail lights are regular lights. Z/28s had a black inlay in the middle. And antenna is missing out of front window. But it is a nice car.
Rear fender flairs weren't available for the '78-'79 Z28 model years. My black '77 TypeLT had factory bumper blocks, front and rear...the only Camaro that I ever saw which had front blocks. I also put a black fiberglass front spoiler on the front bumper, that necessitated the removal of the front plate bracket. Fortunately MI SoS decided to cease issuing front license plates in '78 when their red-white-blue Bicentennial plates ended in '77. The '78 rear plate was black with white reflective letters/numbers...that matched my black and white interior Camaro exactly.
I have an 80, all you have to do is take off the trim piece off from the wiper switch to the middle vents it all comes out as one piece and your in, you can take the gauges out in a cluster, another two screws.
Seems like a good deal on this Camaro Wouldn’t kick it out the garage because walking ain’t crowded !! Just joking would be proud to own this baby . Thanks Nick
man this brings back memories. I had a 78 with 350 had a 650 holly carb and 4 on the floor she really moved. only got about 8 to 9 mpg. but man it was a fun car.
I'm not a huge fan of later Gen 2 Camaro's, preferring '70 to '73 of course and even '74 to '77 but this car at this price point is a very good buy and a great car that someone could use immediately and starting having fun with and then modify to their liking or just leave as is. I also like that it is not a t-top car which are prone to leaking and look ugly. I think this one will sell quickly.
@@nickymisorek3564 Yes because I find the plastic bumpers on the '78 - '82 to be hideous. 🤮 😀LOL. I much prefer metal bumpers over plastic ones just like in C3 Corvettes.
