Apart for the Streetdeck front end it could easily pass for a Volvo B7RLE/ Solar Eclipse and variants. Not a bad thing. It's looks like a very clean , stylish bus. Hope Wrightbus do well with this one.
@@cam43002 yes they do rattle in Downpatrick I work for translinkni Downpatrick anyways we have new December 2021 streetdecks they have the new logo more modified than the ones we had got last year HXI 468 the go hawk I have to drive rattles even though it is 4 months old when driving across Downpatrick on the 17a when I stop it rattles not Great buses but recommend a streetdeck
The start of the vid, with the exterior camera, juat needed some Dr Who theme music. With the window reflections, just reminded me of the opening credits to that, especially the earlier originals series.
@@Bobbyandmog I remember an article in Bus & Coach Buyer c1999 reviewing the then new Volvo B6BLE demonstrator and it was painted blue with the TARDIS police box on the side!
I doubt they'll be popular in London the operators are inclined to order Electric, Hybrid or Hydrogen buses to keep up with the tightening emission standards
More rattles than Mothercare. Needs the OM936 6 cylinder engine. Haven't they learned anything that operators don't like the underpowered 4 pot Streetlite unit?
All about gearbox setup really, although I do agree in hindsight that smaller engines shouldn’t really be in 10tonne+ vehicles, the way the bus industry has been going for sometime with regards to downsizing and big operator preferences
compalining about minor rattling is silly, roads will always have bumps in. im more concerned about rough gear changes on the disgusitng ticking volvo engine used on this it seems and the streetdeck. also, what exactly is happening with wrightbus financial situation?
This bus actually uses a Mercedes engine, not a Volvo as it’s not a Volvo chassis, but an integral one Wrightbus was bought out of administration by Jo Bamford in 2019, but intends to focus primarily on zero emission busses
If it rattles and squeeks like this when it is new, when it's five years old or so it with rattle and bang like a canteen trolley full of crockery. It gets very tiresome when you have to spend four or five hours in it. We have 15 year old Wright double deckers that are lovely. No rattling at all.
@@-M0LE no it’s not I have seen these before I swear I know a street lite when I see one that’s not a street lite it’s a single bus wrights street deck
I accidentally clicked on this video but stayed on it cuz I thought it was cool cuz I recognised the town and it’s like a go pro view of outside a bus. Never would I imagine people actually cared about a bus rattling and the quality of a bus. Goodness me that’s sad 😂
As a bus driver the squeaking and rattleing concerns me. i HATE IT sounds like there lots of it too on a new bus !! I supose without the engine noise drowing it out you probs hear more
I think the Condor would be a good name as a reference to the Gallaher Tobacco factory that Wrightbus acquired but it was previously used by Dennis on tri-axle double deckers for Hong Kong.
Usual Wrightbus build quality or lack of it. Everything squeaks and rattles in the saloon. You'd think after all these years of building that body design they'd have a clue what they were doing
@@-M0LE earlier ADL products are poor. Our 09/10 reg E200s are horrendous but having driven E400s of various ages they feel solid, especially the 14/15 plates we have. If I was from Wrights I'd genuinely be embarrassed to say this is the rubbish we're turning out. Just watched a video of a very old Leyland Titan on RU-vid and there wasn't a single rattle on it. It's amazing that with all these so called high quality materials now and all these modern building techniques that they still manage to make a bus rattle like every single nut and bolt is loose
@@NorthEastbuses01 Yh the adl stuff up to the enviro 400 was awful but I found the e400 actually well made and I hate adl very little rattles on them especially with the scania chassis ones but yes the e200 always rattled the new mmc are just as bad imo we had brand new in torquay and they came with rattles the ones in Cornwall I drove were actually decent and I do like the e200 mmc but overall I’ve always preferred Wright
Havent you taken into account that that road surface looks pretty old? It could be doing with a resurfacing or better yet they could test the bus on a better road.
Jesus. Wright really need to upgrade their dashboards. They look horrific plus they’re not the most conventional looking either. Something like Volvos would be better
Typical garbage quality from Wrightbus, you'd think maybe they'd save the rattling and squeaking for operator's service but they've not even waited that long!
