At my school the emergency lights are wired maintained/non maintained and fpr some unknown reason (ill ask the site staff when i see them) they change them to maintined around october and in summer back to NON-MTD anyone else do this?
How is it the sound can change depending on the zone you're in, and in some areas you can hear more than one different sounder? At my high school it's the same siren everywhere apart from the main reception. Similar scenario in my old primary school - if you were in the main school building it was the siren you heard, but if you were the community centre or the nursery you would hear a different sounder first for a few seconds (ambulance-siren esque) and then the main alarm joined in...
For some reason they added diffrent sounds around the building the high school Is not linked to this fire alarm either It has a seprate panel and In the nursery they have fire bells I think to reduce the noise
If you get a plug transformer you can bc the sounder Is 24 volt and 240 volt comes out of a socket but I have never tried plugging It straight into 240 volt.
