Hi Buzz. I got my Aerolite last Oct and am very interested in the wind screen brace shown in this video. Can you tell me where I can get one? Would love to have one. Thanks for the great video.
Hi! Curious why the airspeed indicator is so volatile bouncing back and forth on climb-out? Is that normal? Looks like it steadies out once you're in straight/level flight.
nice vid. your friend will like that aerolite. that's an older model in very good condition. mine as the hirth 2702 and flies like a dream. very economical aircraft that can be upgraded to your hearts content. i have a trim package, wingbug, radio, foreflight with syn vision, and elt. i also put the 7 gal fuel tank on it. i am pushing $30k but living in central florida with a lot of controlled airspaces and moa's all around me. i need all the help i can get to stay out of trouble. going fly camping, starting from cali and flying back to florida this fall. it's going to be a blast. a long blast that may take up to 30 days depending on weather. your friend is going to love his aerolite. i own a paradise p1 slsa and a cgs arrow 2 slsa and the aerolite 103 is by far my favorite to fly. dennis carley is a fantastic aircraft manufacturer and can be contacted by emailing...ifly103.com. you won't regret it.
So you are going to ship it to California and fly back to Florida? Cool what is your typical TAS, altitude and range. Flying out west has big hills not like Florida I'm sure you know. What is max altitude? Watch you density altitude my friend.
@@WendelltheSongwriter the 40hp is more than enough power. this little baby will cruise from 45 to 65 mph all day long. Hirth does not make the 2702 anymore as it was too expensive to manufacture. however Dennis came up with another 40hp 2 stroke that is dependable, lighter and has more torque than the Hirth. it makes the 103 even more fun. come on down to the Deland airport, I'll show you around, set you in my plane. maybe have you taxi around the airport awhile. that always gets their juices flowing..
