This time I have tested the gripper which I have made in my last video. Overall this gripper works fine, but there are a lot of room for improvements. 1. The parallel jaw gripper is great! 2. The jaw/fingers should be covered with rubber (or something similar) for the better grip. 3. The interchangeable fingers seems like a great idea.
Big thank you to ROBOTIS for the Dynamixel Servo:

I think that you need some kind of rubber material on the contact surface to increase the grip effect with a lower torque !! Great job ;)

I love the idea of interchangable fingers. It's so much more affordable to just use the one servo, but still in effect have multiple end effectors.

Oh yeah, I agree with the conclusions! Parallel gripper would be great, maybe add some rubber to it as well!

I want to add on your response to that slightly rude comment. When you said ''it's not interesting'' did you mean simple applications like pick and place? Those are always interesting. I would have loved seeing some of your cheap actuators mounted on models. I think these simple things are very interesting.

I love your channel and project, but the motors you use are very expensive, can you think about something cheaper? thx

Yes, I will try to do this. I also realized recently this. I will try to use more steppers, or cheap brushless.

Why not have a spare gripper with magnets to hold it in the arm. E3D (who make 3D printer Nozzles) have a very effective changeable head the same as CNC machines
@Skyentific

This is good approach, but it is difficult to design lightweight mechanisms to change the gripper. (On CNC and 3D printers the weight is not so critical).

Problem is the cheapest (and probably less useful) Dynamixel servo is $45.
