I honestly think it should be. rally 1 is a disgrace. the cars barely resemble the originals. sadly due to safety reasons it will probably never happen.
@@C4CH3S I think Rally1 is great except the price of the cars, which is not helping to bring more manufacturers in. Either way, I don't think swiching to Rally2 is the solution here - those are the same cars that we've been watching in WRC, ERC and many regional and national events for close to a decade. Where's the excitement in that? Why would people go to WRC events when they can see the exact same cars at their local events? Even if these cars got some sort of an upgrade for WRC events (more power, more aero...), it wouldn't be enough to draw many of the casual fans to these events. As much as it is contradictory to keeping the price down, WRC needs to have cars which are special enough to get people interested. Imagine how controversial it would be if for example F1 switched to using the F2 cars instead. This is similar (except rally is less popular).
@@ondraspendlik9759 a lot of friends I know agree with me that rally 1 cars are great in a race car way, but that's it. I can't draw a parallel with them to real life cars like I could with the STI or EVO. In fact, so many people liked those cars in the country I live in, we have an insane amount of them, and even nowadays cars used in local rally also sell much better than other ones. This is the same thing that almost killed Nascar, abandoning any semblance of a real car with whatever tube chasis thing they race in nowadays.
@@C4CH3S Also not taking into account there there are only three teams with the same half dozen drivers that have been competing for over a decade and only two competitive manufacturers. Rally needs its own sanctioning body apart from FIA because they're only concerned with the money that F1 brings in. It reeeeally feels like there's F1, and "not F1" to them
I love the test paintjob on this thing! Hope someone uses the same color as base when racing it. Rally2 is getting more and more exciting! I'm cheering for Toyota in WRC and Škoda in WRC2, so I'm excited to see them compete against eachother!
I wish the WRC would move onto like a rally 2 plus format. have it be based on a rally 2 car, give them a bit more freedom to play with the aero package to distinguish them from their rally 2 counterparts, bigger restrictor and cost cap it as a kit, even have a spec rear hybrid unit (I suspect that'd be a lot easier to integrate that having it be in the bell housing or something) if they're hell bent on that. All of a sudden you have Citroen, Ford, Skoda, Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, all with cars that could compete with a small investment. And if you forced them to sell the kits, privateers could exist. I'm tired of seeing the sport have rally 2 cars score points overall because the top class is so dead.
❤ These should be our new WRC Rally 1 cars , awesome looking & sounding , more manufacturers involved, more teams & more drivers seats available 👍 and cheaper to plus better atmosphere in service parks etc with no hybrid modes .
