Bought my ranger 570 new in 2014 i live in the Arizona desert Love polaris 570. i take and use it eveywhere have never had any problems with it our washes run deep here in the desert and have never been stuck.they build a great machine.
Nice vid. The 2014 luke tested actually has 40 HP. The 2015 has 44 AND the tilt steering he longed for, as well as other ergo changes to make it more like the full-sized to accept the cabs and such. This machine represents the best value in SxS's. Just about any dealer will sell one of these out the door for $10K.
I think he failed to mention, the 570 still has enough power to be fun when you want it to as well. Let's face it, even if someone buys a utv for work, they eventually will want to ride it for fun sometimes and having a sporty side is never a bad thing. Being a bit smaller than the bigger 800 and 900 Rangers and most of the other utvs in this price range such as the Kawasaki Teryx and Yamaha Viking makes it more versatile on the trail too. I still cringe at the thought of hauling one of these very often in the bed of a truck though, that much extra weight up high like that is an accident waiting to happen.
Wow! It turns 30's with no power mods? That's great! I'm pondering buying the 570 Ranger mid size to replace my 2 atvs. I like that it's lighter than the competitions larger UTVs and the 570 engine has excellent power. I'm surprised you didn't have to install a clutch kit to accommodate your larger tires. I put an EPI CVT kit in my Sportsman 500 to turn my 27" Super Swampers better in the mud.
Good points there. You know your stuff bud.I never thought about pavement, but you are right. And it would be a lot easier on the tire wear, especially on the stock bias plys.
I have a full-size Ranger, which I use for work, in the land surveying industry. I used it in NW Alberta last summer, and found it was too heavy for muskeg. I plan to trade it for a mid-sized Ranger next summer. This is my second full-size Ranger, and I actually liked my first one better. They've made them heavier every year. My first was a 2005, and it weighed less than 1100 lbs. Now they're over 1300. I wouldn't go back to quads, for work. The Ranger is the most comfortable ATV ever. My worn out back is getting very particular about what I ride. The only drawback is pulling a trailer, but I see no way around that.
Can we legally road ride these in Ontario yet? Have you seen the over heating issues with tne 570 like the Sportsman has had? I have 4,700km on my 2012 400ho. Absolutely loveit.
Bud, this cinched the deal for me. Ranger 50 Midsize for me. Great way to state its capabilities and prove its value to those of us who have real world requirements. Given that it can also hold it's own on the trail for recreational fun, I'm sold.
Polaris must have paid him a lot of money to say polaris is a long lasting machine. Polaris is definitely not built as good as other machine I know I had several of them now they are made in Mexico
