I have a 2014 800 full size with over 4200 miles, I work it hard, haul heavy loads of wood, ride it hard through mud and water pretty often, use it for hunting, ice fishing and camping. I havent had any problems yet and maintenance is just changing oil, front and rear gear oil, air filter, and 1 grease fitting, I cant complain.

Polaris Ranger is an outstanding machine.

Would y'all consider revisiting the Ranger mid-size crew 570 in the near future? Not very many informative and detailed videos are on RU-vid about it. Thanks for the vids!

we just bot a ranger 570 midsize and i love almost everything about it but theres one thing i dont like is the sifting so time i find it hard to get into reverse mabey in future motles they could inculde knoches on the shifter

Polaris does now offer a "gated shifter" kit in their accessory catalog. Hard shifting is sometimes related to clutch alignment. If the machine "creeps" or moves at all when it's in gear and your not touching the gas, then the secondary clutch needs to be shimmed properly at your dealer.

Pull the shifter a little harder and it should work better

I've never had a problem getting my midsize 570 in Reverse but I have heard that same complaint many times. I came from a Sportsman 500 before this which had the same exact shifter and maybe it's just because I'm used to it from that machine. I've also seen people complain about the Gated shifters and say they prefer the Polaris for being a simple forward and backwards shift pattern. I guess they can't please everyone

Hi, I’m a pretty big guy do you think that the two seater will accommodate a large person? Thanks!

I'm gonna say yes, but you should go to a dealership and sit in one to make sure it is comfortable.

Chris, I’m 6’10” 250. I just ordered a 1000 Crew. I can make it work. Not extremely comfortable, but it’s tolerable. No way I could have doors on 570 or 1000 (knee hangs out). Not sure if your “big” is height or weight, but that’s my story.

I have a 2017 midsize 570. I am a very small guy about 5 ft 8 and 150 lb and I feel like it fits me about right but do sometimes wish it had a little more cabin space maybe just because I'm used to driving the bigger Rigs. I can fit my wife and two kids with one kid on her lap in my midsize and it works but there's definitely no extra room. If I were a bigger guy I would definitely go for the full-size machine

I had a 2018 and would have kept it if it had a engine brake, seem ridiculous to have a machine without it if you live anywhere near mountains. It was pretty much my only true disappointment in my first and possibly last ranger
@diversedad7954
@diversedad7954 2 года назад
I'm so confused when I see comments like this. Lots of people complain about lack of engine braking but it does have an in Breaking as long as you keep giving it a tiny bit of throttle which keeps the clutch engaged. I do understand that if you lose all RPMs the clutch will disengage and it will Freewheel going downhill but it's very easy to just make sure especially in low gear you just give it a tiny bit of throttle and the engine braking is still pretty good. I know the Japanese machines have engine braking pretty much all the way to a stop but I wouldn't say the ranger does not have engine braking and it's always been adequate for my uses.

@@diversedad7954 Guess it depends where you live and ride. You can not keep throttle on all the time, I live in BC and the coast ,mountains are steep and many times extremely rough. So throttle on is not a wise choice, when many times you have a 1000 foot drop off on one side, or if you do use the brakes to try and catch the machine going to fast because you have to be putting fuel going down hill it will then grab and slide on a dangerous rough corner. When you are expecting a machine to actually have a engine braking ability , then this is not satisfactory
@diversedad7954
@diversedad7954 2 года назад
@@bcpioneer59 I get that. I definitely use mine on Hills but usually not anything too extreme of an angle and usually pretty forgiving on the edges other than maybe bumping into a tree

They are very high maintance once you get a couple thousand miles on it. If you plan to own in for more than a couple years, ld be looking at other brands!!!!!!!

I'll be the first to admit I've never been a polaris fan. I dont think the quality is there with the Japanese brands. However, they sure know their consumer and the features on their machines are great especially for the money. I reluctantly bought a polaris from a friend years ago then bought my second cause nothing else had the features I wanted plus the price was great. I just bought my 4th polaris being a lightly used 2017 ranger 570 midsize. I've had used ones that are very high hrs and almost new ones. Never had any major issues with them. My machines get used fairly lightly and I'm anal about maintenance. If you want something that you can abuse and never maintain day in and day out.... I highly recommend a Honda. But you're not gonna get the features most of us Americans like for the way we use them

I like polaris dont get me wrong. BUT that rims are the ugliest on the market. Come on polaris. Buy your rims from a aftermarket or go steel. That ones you got are damn ugly. And the windshield. Why not make it stock. I mean who wants one without it?

These videos make me certain that this is very little review- more a paid advertisement and description. Besides the English speaking Canada should merge with the US because it seems to lack self esteem with the Scottish OU's and American accent!
