hi Paul, I've stumbled on your video while snooping around for NC750X content and couldn't help but notice how nice the image quality is of your video. what camera are you using? cheers
Great sneak peak at the new range Paul. Just looking at you sitting on them I agree that, whilst they are all great bikes - the Chief really suits you! You made the right choice. I’ve recently added Bassani slash cut slip one to my 2022 Scout Bobber Twenty and OMG 😮- they were ridiculously loud!!!! Luckily the guys at Adelaide Indian dealers put me onto Terry at Redline exhaust. It took a couple goes but he managed to reduce the dbs without losing the sound or choking the motor. When I rode it home I couldn’t wipe the smile 😊 from my face!! I’m just waiting for my screen to be delivered and then I’m all set - once the weather improves of course. Terry is semi retired - but an absolute legend with exhausts. Highly recommended to anyone in Adelaide. 👍
Thanks Paul! Yeah after riding them, the Chief is still better option for me. I did try configuring a new Scout on the Indian Australia website but found myself trying to turn it into my Chief. :) Man these aftermarket pipes are loud, totally agree. Great to hear you found someone to get them sorted, they are so much nicer to ride when they are at a more reasonable volume. Which screen did you get?
It is amazing how good Polaris got in making these bikes with great technology, and how still so many issue for Harley with the Sportster S engine and technology, lot of complaints online of owners spending way too much time at the dealer to reset codes, engine issues etc
I went with the 101 personally because I love the feel of the bike and how the power is delivered. That 20k otd pricing to be 1st isn’t for everyone. If you’re the market for one and can wait til winter that’s what I would do if I wanted to save 1-2k USD. Here in Texas, USA, I got the bike for msrp 16,999. + tax title licensing registration dealer prep and sales tax 6.25% brings my grand total to just under 21 thousand US. I paid the difference in cash because I’m not financing taxes etc.
I have an order on the Scout 101 but I am taking a serious look at the Sport Chief. I have seen your videos on the two bikes in the past. Would you still keep your chief over the 101?
I am thinking, being able to read license plates would be important. I can’t really read them in your videos. Can you read them if you pull out stills and zoom in?
The more I see the harder it feels to decide what im into more (yeah sit on them ride them I know) I think the issue for me Scout wise is I just, cant afford the wait time I'll be facing if thats how I go. MT09 was officially written off so first part of the waiting game is done, shoulder healing and funds being the next step. Its reallky nice having sdomeone local experiancing them on our roads rather than American ones, I really appreciate your channel and your video style Plus the glorious beard is great :P
im 6'1" and looked silly on the scout as I was too tall, sat on the sport chief and everything felt normal. Its a bigger bike, period so obviously fit's taller riders
@@gebs19695 I’ve never ridden an Indian maybe I should changed allegiance from harley to Indian I do like the scout I’m 6 foot and heavy don’t know if it’s for me I do like the street bob in harley current bike is. A 2009 fatboy that I brought brand new from Fraser harley Sydney I’ve done 97,000 kilometres it’s never been dropped or wrecked touch chrome it’s sentimental to me
Awesome! Hope I get to see you there Joel. I have to duck out for a few hours around 11:00 am for my Granddaughter's birthday party. But I'll be back in the afternoon. ;)
It realy is nice seeing the Scouts having what they were missing, I don't know which is my favouritw of them now looks wise its so hard, definately going to try both Scout and Chief 100% Got the official sad news today, MT09 isn't coming home so will sadly be new bike, sad to see it go, exciting to be looking again
I don't know about this one, I'm 5'6 29" inseam and had all but my heel down on the r3 on both sides. I'm just now realizing the weight of the rider is probably the difference there, will have to keep it in mind when I'm looking at others now.
Thank you for this as I am 5 ft 2”. Before I buy. I have rode bikes taller then I should be on, but always managed. Just nice to see my ride height before I buy.🙏🏽
