[Tested] Watch This Before You Buy! Oladance OWS Pro vs Shokz OpenFit 

I have watched so many videos from other channels when it comes to TWS, but you are the genuine one. Please keep posting unbiased reviews as always. Thank you❤

The OWS Pro has been an unbelievable home run for me. I already used my OWS 1 possibly more than about 10 other IEMs, headphones, and wearables speakers I own from Bose, Sony, Apple, and a few misc ones. Compared to the OWS 1, I'm finding the OWS Pro: - Sound better - Offer more bass - Mask noise better when music is playing (even before you add focus mode-which is incredible for an open headphone) - Are more comfortable for super-extended use (OWS 1 usually started to fatigue me between 8-10h; OWS Pro have yet to fatigue me even at 10h) - Have a more stable Bluetooth connection - Are easier to control, with just the strip instead of the entire earbud surface being touch sensitive They also have a really nice finish. I'd say the OWS 1 buds and case felt like some cost-saving 6/10 materials were elevated by an 8/10 finish. OWS Pro feels like 8+/10 materials with 9/10 finish. My only gripes are I'd say the OWS 1 works better with glasses (because the part of its stem that sits on the top of your ear is thinner), and the mic is not great outdoors. I also initially struggled a little with the press gesture being less reliable than the volume swipe like the review said, but I've learned to trigger it reliably by pressing along the middle of the control strip as opposed to at the edge, and making sure I support the bottom of the bud with my thumb. If you just press on the control strip without supporting the bud from the bottom, it usually does nothing. If you make a pinching gesture and support the bottom of the bud with your thumb while using the index finger to press down on the control strip, it clicks.

Thanks for a timely review. If I were a normal person and didn’t compulsively hit the preorder button, I would have found it very informative and not just validating. :) Keep up the great work.

I have the basic oladances and I love them. My parents are in their 60s and actually fell in love with them too, so I bought them both a pair. Great sound quality from this tech.

I used the older OWS2 model for about a year before I put them through the washing machine... For me the OWS2 was very comfortable; I would forget I was even wearing them. I used the OWS Pro for about two weeks, but returned them. For me they are much less comfortable and while the sound is generally better, there are sometimes weird artifacts like the left and right sides would slightly go out of sync. Thanks for your review, I'm going to be trying the Shokz.

I have the oladance.. GREAT EARPHONES.. it's really amazing.. I've been using this for more than a week. 6 to 8 hours without stopping.. All i can say.. I LOVE THIS BRAND!

I think this is a great in-depth review that helped me a lot. But there is one point I can't count for my reasoning. When you talk about the difference in sound leak, you perfectly show, how the difference in produced ambience noise is. But it's more just a noise comparison, due to there being no ear, the noise could leak from. At least for me, that would be the important point there. Thank you a lot, for helping me find the right headphones!

i forgot where I read it, maybe the instructions, but the focus mode turning off randomly is a safety feature for when it detects noise that is too loud to be more aware of ones surroundings. Like an oncoming car you didn't noice or something like that

Multi added to shokz but not only that but to pair all you do is open the case. You don't have to press and hold. I bought some yesterday and after a firmware update new things were added.

THANKS a lot ! - Because of clearly more pleasant wearing comfort of the OpenFit, I decided against the sonically much better Arc 2: my not large ears were probably already too big. My tip: always try out... The new Oladance could be a great compromise !

I have big ears, and the OWS 2 was already a few mm away from my ear hole. The OWS Pro is almost double distance from my ear holes and they start to pinch after a while. I can tell they sound good when I push the speakers closer to my ear holes, but for now will stick to OWS 2.

Thanks for the review! I have the Oladance Version 1 and the sound is just so so and the connection to the phone get cut off frequently even it's 3 feet apart. As for taking phone calls with the version 1 it's just mediocre also. I think I'll wait till they have an update on the mic. capabilities then I'll look at them again.

5:17 Shokz does support multi point pairing up to two devices. I own a pair and they’re connected to both my iPhone and iPad simultaneously switching to where it’s needed. 😊

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this side-by-side comparison. I'll wait a bit longer before investing in a pair; let Shokz work out the wrinkles, since they're still relatively new to the open fit game.

Love my Oladance Pros. All day battery life, excellent bass and not there fit make them my favorite. One thing, they need to do something about the buggy noise cancellation that turns off on its own. Hopefully it’s just a software update.

I just got ows1 and must say my.shokz openfit are better sounding on calls audiobooks music and even gps navigation audio prompts we get while driving .

If you update your Shokz they now have multipoint which works nicely. Even with connected 3 devices you can easily by a toggle in the app switch to which 2 you want to be connected to at the time.

Great comparison video. I've been interested in this form factor for a while now, and these two are the top contenders along with the Cleer Arc II. Oladance looks great, I think it would be the perfect pair if it just had a higher IP rating. How do they sound compared to the Samsung Buds Live? Those are currently the best sounding and most comfortable pair I own that I use all day (sometimes even when sleeping). I was wondering if the Oladance would be a worthy upgrade.

You guys are great, I love your reviews. But what do you say if you compare Oneodio Openrock Pro and Oladance pro? I'm interested to know about the volume and sound quality. If there is no difference, then openrocks are very cheap.

I love my OWS pro, the one problem is the left earbuds touch control are fa less sensitive than the right ear bud.

You guys I really appreciate your detailed reviews with the open ear technology you make everything simple easy and fun to understand; have you compared any of these or other open models to any of the "Plantronics BackbeatFit" models that are also open ear?? I've used them for awhile now and believe they are great but would love to see your opinion on them!

I wish you'd done the leak test with the Cleer Arc 2, that was my main concern, as if you're using these in an office I don't want to annoy my coworkers. You should also do the leak test while they are being worn, as obviously if they're being pressed up against an ear there will be less leakage.

Great review guys. I’ve been using my Oladance Pros and the sound quality is amazing for this type of product. My biggest gripe is the fit though, it always feels loose but it doesn’t actually fall out though, so I guess it’s doing it’s job? I’m new to open air earphones, is it normal for these products to feel loose around your ear? Thinking about trying Shokz’s if it’ll be a better fit for my ears. Thanks again for the vid!

I have the Shokz. They have multipoint with up to 2 devices.

One thing to remember is that these tap features and customization options are software-related rather than hardware... and can be easily addressed with firmware updates. I own the Shokz OpenFit, like them very much. And even though there aren't as many tap-control customizations right now as those with the Oladance, Shokz do listen to their customers and occasionally you will see firmware updates. So I'd be willing to bet that more tap options will be coming down the pipe. As for battery-life, honestly, who keeps their buds on their ears for 16 hours? The 7 hours wit the Shokz is plenty for me! And since the charging is so fast, it's really not an issue. Plus you can pick up the Shokz for less than $170, verses the $230 Oladance. My choice if I were buying right now would still be Shokz.

Sorry I'm quite confused at the phone call part where you said Oladance struggles at making good quality phone call but you eventually suggested it's better for picking Oladance for better phone call. Why? 😅

The Oladance OWS 2 are also very nice. Unfortunately, these hardly pay off because they are sold without a charging case and if you buy one additionally, you can decide for the OWS Pro, anyway. It's a strange pricing strategie at least.

WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THE HISS / HUM / CLICKING / RESIDUAL NOISE ON OLADANCE OWS PRO? OWS Pro has distinct hiss/hum combined with rapid clicking that can be heard on any volume if the song has a part quiet enough (also between songs). If you want to use them for indoor chilling at low volume - just forget about it, the noise will destroy your experience. Seriously, I don't recall having any headphones with that much and that annoying residual noise. I don't know how this is not a killer when judging sound quality. Is everybody banging Skrillex at full volume all the time or what? And no, this is not just my case, if you read around some more in-depth written reviews also mention this. Oladance acknowledges this and tries to tell people it's all normal and like it should be.

I bought both and kept the Openfit. I mainly use this type of earbuds for podcasts and audiobooks, and I did not really hear a significant difference in volume between the two for my use case. I do agree that for music the Oladance is better, but I am not really buying this type of earbuds for music quality.

I have OpenFit and bought OWS Pro based on a glowing review on RU-vid, hoping to share a similar review in my local language. However, I’ve encountered several flaws in the product’s performance. The OWS Pro falls short for movies, games, and even phone calls. The noticeable latency leads to an annoying lip sync issue, especially when playing games like Mario where the sound lags behind the action. The microphone is also subpar for phone calls. When it comes to music, the sound quality is subpar. While there’s high volume and prominent bass, there’s a lack of detail in the low bass and treble. The reviews out there seem overrated, as I found my old OpenFit is much better for overall satisfaction.

Hi... I just bought OpenFit and I am really dissapointed regarding the sound of the earphones... Especially the bass... There are lots of destortion and cracking while playing and when bass boost is on it is really horrible to listen to the music. Is it just my pair of earphones or it is a general issue?

These dont work with earplugs like the shokz titaniums correct. You need an open ear i gather

Bros , you didn’t tell your audience how the Oladance can’t handle sound at higher volumes . I own both these products and must say Shokz handle higher volumes a little bit better .
