Wow. This reminds me of my church. Im so glad I was raised in Holiness and in the old time way! We still have Testimony Service and im so glad! We havent change to today's "Praise & Worship." I enjoy hearing the saints testimonies cause sometime its just the encouragement you need. As a young saint, I'd rather be in church than running the streets and partying because Holiness is my life and in the end, God has the greatest reward! I love reading everyone's comments they are very encouraging!
This is how it was back in the day. The saints shared small talk and updates in their testimonies. This was all they had, the home, the fields and the church. We laugh now but we are standing on their shoulders.
I remember when church was like this when I was a little girl, I am so hungry for it...can't find one thats not preaching prosperity. Prosperity is the blessing of serving the LORD and his son JESUS....
Now this is an old time PENTEOCOSTAL Church...Mother sounds Sanctified to the bone and seems shes been saved and running for her life for a mighty long time!!! HEYYYYYYYY GLORY! There's somethin bout the Holy Ghost! YES LORD!
Love to hear these old time Holiness sisters testify. Those that lived old time sanctification and seperation and really knew how to get ahold of the spirit of the Lord
I am an holiness servant of GOD. I thank GOD for true holiness. Holiness without no man shall see GOD. Jesus only, Apostolic, Sanctified, Pentecostal, how ever we call it. If you have obeyed that form of doctrine that was preached on the Day of Pentecost ACTS 2:37-47. and continue to the end, you shall be saved. One Lord, one faith, one baptism. The natural man received not the things of GOD, neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. Praise HIM Mother, Praise JESUS
ha church service was just like this when i lived back in alabama when i was younger... old folks get the testifyin during devotion no tellin what time you goin home

I have been looking all over, for this video. I remember seeing this clip years ago on the Lexi show. That was back in 2008, I have been in search of this video. Since I seen it. Finally I've found it.
Praise God, I wish churches would go back to havig testimony service and telling what God has done for them.....now we have praise and worship, and it is good in it's place, but tere's nothing like telling God thank you for all that he has done......i grew up like that and i think that we should go back to that......
Praise the Lord, God is good. Go ahead Mother and tell of the goodness of God. I miss the days of testimony service, and sharing of the goodness of Jesus. We need to get back to basic's, and testifying is the it. Continue to holler for Jesus Mother Brown for you are one of his vessel's.
Now this is what I'm talking about I tried to call the number below but any way I am in Jacksonville Fl. and this is the way we like to have church.Yes we still have church like this in the little community called Cosmo Fl. we take our time and have church we don't rush god but we give praises unto God for what he has done. Thank God that we still have churches around like this because we need Jesus in this world.
Mother Brown is a mess. She said she went to her 45th class reunion and those girls looked so rough, she wondered if she was in the right class. (LOL) Go Mother Brown!!!

When i hear testimonies like this "I praise God for how, when and where i come up" I love it and if anyone has a problem with her.......she already settled that issues as well. lol I tried to listen as carefully as I could because of the sound but that takes nothing off of the Old time power of god. This Great Mother has done the following: Gave God the praise, told us where god bought her from, healed and kept her, then she ministered to the young women the congregation, gave honor and reverence to her husband, encouraged the church as a whole, welcome the visiting church, kept her vow to God (if he healed her of asthma and lastly ministered to me! The "new church generation" is so unthankful. It is because of Church Mothers like this some of us and them are in church today. So before anyone criticizes her or it I think you should look and things differently first and you may see just a little more clearer
Mother Brown just had a good old time enjoying being in the house of God. In the word it says to enter His gates with thanksgiving and enter His courts with praise. Mother Brown definitely did this!!! :D
Man I am from a small town in Florida..and we used to have church like that...often times when I conduct praise and worship..I would open the floor ....I miss this..Man this brings back memories...I got a Mother Brown...lol...God Bless You for posting...Yea COGIC..lol..
I praise God for her life just as she does. As many of you have already said, this doesn't happen very much where folk just tell of the goodness of Jesus. I tell ya, with a save, sanctified, and holyghost filled young lady like herself, the church can't help but go up in a praise afterwards. LOL.

She is sharing a personal testimony of the Goodness of God in her life! That's what she was talking about. As for the scripture to back it up, READ Ps: 40:10 If blk. ppl can get "emotional" as some call it at a sporting event w/ strangers who have done nothing for us; Then Glory to God we can certainly exceed that range of emotion for a Saviour who hung, bled, died, ressurected,, and gave us the key to hell, death, the grave, + Eternal life. AMEN!
Rosalie Jones AMEN!!!I get so tired of people dancing on TV over a hamburger,candy,etc.Lol.Jumping and screaming over men knocking each other over to pick up some pig skin aka football to run it down the field.Jumping and screaming for people that don't even know their names and could care less about them but when it comes to KING JESUS they are shamed to scream,jump,shout,dance,etc for HIM.They get angry when someone praise GOD and look at the strange but they are jumping and dancing around a hamburger and think it's normal.Lol.ehen GOD hold their breath in his hands.I WILL PRAISE HIM WITH ALL MY MIGHT!!!!!!
alright thatis beautiful ha ha ha ha ha oh well we might as well go on in with her because we can go to a game yell and screem a be loud about a foot ball but we can't be loud about God hey I say let us all carry on about God like that and we shall get blessed oh glory to God.

Exactly. Really good testimony but it too long. I think another reason why they cut out testimony service is because some people was lying. I have see that happen.
this is the way the mother's used to carry on.... they were powerful influences in the church... not like these modern day hip hop mother with no prayer life....
