It’s because of flat perspective. Anime just use flat cels and stack it on top of each other. This telephoto look is very common in old anime. On other hand Shinkai san’s anime and lot of new anime uses wide field of view or low focal length (15mm)

I just ran across this video again. It was my first introduction to Corridor Crew videos, back when it first came out. And, technically, that was MORE than 1300/2600mm because the RED is a S35 camera, so you need to multiply the focal length times the crop factor. The best guestimate I can come up with uses info from a Slashcam article which says the RED S35 has a ~1.33x crop factor. ASSUMING you were using the whole sensor (the crop factor goes up the lower the resolution used), then the focal range was, technically, ~1730/3460mm, full-frame equivalent focal length! DANG! Keep up the great work!

The Ribcage mod for GoPros (which also have around a 5x crop factor) would be good to test a lens like this on. Search "500mm lens on Ribcage" for example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wgrQ3u3xMBY.html Also, Sony AX53 camcorder does 1072mm in Full HD with excellent B.O.S.S. handheld stabilization. Gets a better result handheld than what they got with that setup there.

Yeah - I'm in on that as well. It would be different if I got their vibe but I can't really connect with the flow and the feel of their channel . No knock to them it might be my issue . I would have to watch a few more videos to know if I can connect or not . I will say dude seems to be a pretty good teacher I learnt a lot listening to him .
