One of the things with CLAAS is that you get the feeling that they put more effort into there harvester products than other brands that try to do everything thing

I was thinking how much BJ looks like our dad. When you mentioned Wesley, I can see that as well. BJ has done a great job of blending into your farm. Think of the technology that BJ had to learn while re-learning basic farming field tasks. Dad being cheap is why you can afford to build a house. I know you understand this, just want your sub's to as well. Bob has done a great job of farming profitably over the years.

Brian, I grew up in Germany on a family farm, 1 mile away there lived and still is the Class family, I used to play with their Son , visit their house and play with all his toys. After moving to Canada I went back to visit in 2006 and got a tour of the class factory, was really impressed about the quality inspections after every unit.

Those lights on the bean head were pretty cool. How do they look at night from the cabin?
@NextLevelFarmerDotCom
@NextLevelFarmerDotCom 10 месяцев назад
The Claas salesman in Owatona, MN said it will harvest soybeans later in the night than other combines that shut down early because of dew on the soybean plant. Multiple adjustments on the go allow those farmers to do it. In my opinion, farmers should consider a combine that adjusts settings on the go automatically. Besides changing field yield conditions an automated combine will allow a family farm to put a less skilled or experienced driver in the combine if another family member gets injured or sick during harvest. A cleaner grain sample means less spoilage and heat damage during storage. Better separation and cleaning means less field loss. There are savings to consider by reducing harvest and storage losses.

I like the yellow and black paint scheme on the older Lexions. The standard paint colors are growing on me though. In the end, it's all about performance and cost, and the purchase price of that 8700 is only one component in the cost of owning that new machine.

That’s claas Draper header sounds quiet. Nice and smooth running. The cutter bar cuts the crop nicely to fall right on the Draper. Not like the honeybee header has that big steel incline up from the cutter bar to the Draper. I have no idea why anyone would buy a honey bee. But anyways. How do you like the claas Draper compared to the macdon? When we had a claas combine we had an auger header. Which we loved. But we prefer the Draper headers now we run Deere. But I definitely like the new claas machines.

Interesting to see the differences between the 740 and 8700. Ease of changing between crops would be a topic of discussion if you go to one machine. If you're shelling corn in the morning and cutting beans in the afternoon, don't need a lot of downtime. The finish work on houses is time-consuming...hope you'll be in before long!!!
