Thanks for the video. When I turn my key to the "on" position, I get nothing. No bells or whistles like it normally does when it's cycling through. My batteries are showing 12.4 volts, so it's not the batteries. What can it be? This happened from one day to the next. Looking forward to your input.
How you doing sir i have a detroit s60 12.7 on an international eagle 9400i i bought the truck with a toggle switch for the engine fan recently the check engine light turned on when the toggle switch is off the fan is loose but when i flip the switch to the on position the fan gets hard do u think the clutch is bad or the solonoid sir?
There is a lot more to these types of fans than what he is telling you. He never mentioned the difference in Normally Open temperature switches and Normally closed ones and how they affect the air solenoid if its plumbed incorrectly and how that could cause the fan do do just what its doing in the video. Truckers, do yourself a favor, take it to a good mechanic. You'll save money and downtime in the long run. Or, watch you tube. You all drive safe.
