These larger gear pumps always are a little louder anyways but it didn't make that weird noise the customer had heard.
Decided to test another gear pump we had for a different job but we're going to when we test this to compare the sound levels and see how the sound levels compare in both of them. One is technically a motor you can run it as a pump. The size of this one's slightly smaller not much, so you figure it's a fairly good baseline. We don't break them in we don't run them for an hour and actually break them in, so a customer will have to like slowly dial up the pressure like if you just full pressure it'll stop. So how do you do that on like a crane? It depends I guess on the accelerator right so the amount your accelerating full throttle and expect it to work you got to go little bit by little bit, let it break in on its own and we don't know what pressure they're going to be at anyways.
"It sounds like any other pump"
It does, like I said before these larger gear pumps they're pretty loud. The smaller ones they are a little quieter then the larger ones. This is the biggest of the bushing style gear pumps and it's going to be fairly loud.
It is most likely something on the customers end.
