I have been using "refined metal pickaxe" to mine ores, coal, and sulfur in this game. So glad that I have been using the right tool to mine all along. 😁
I'm glad also 😀 there is other mechanics that can make other things better. Like if you know about crouching with the spear, or astagon with lightning strike. Obviously the rocket launcher or digtoise etc but the sword myth has been disproven!
I do not forsee them adjusting the range, unfortunately. They have a lot more important things to fix first. plus the nee content to make sure is ready for release. Sword range is super low importance.
now try to crouch and then stand up between each hit with a spear and compare the dps with any other melee weapon :D (hit/crouch/hit/stand repeat as fast as you can)
See the problem is I have to hold the button on xbox. So I get get 2 hits before I have to hold it again. Makes it impossible to do unless there's a setting to change hold to press, but I haven't checked
Only add to this would be that if the torch catches the target on fire it deals a percent of max life per tick, so on high HP targets like the Black Marketeer it might end up having the highest DPS. Looking forward to the firearms. Also it might be worth looking into how they interact with character boosters (Gobfin, Pendant, Stat investment) as if they are multiplicative on base power something like the sword will benefit more than the spear.
