Testing an AiVolt 1200W Petrol Inverter Generator

I bought this 4 Stroke Portable Silent Generator.
It is not quite so silent, but not so noisy either.
I am very happy with it.
I got it as a backup in case my batteries ever run to low to start the diesel engine.
It runs very well in ECO mode, and will auto adjust throttle to match demand.
This video shows me unpacking it for the first time, adding oil, and then starting it.

The battery charger shown in the video is a HTRC 20A Car Battery Charger 12V/24V.
It is rated at 280w and supports many battery types.
It puts hardly any load on the generator so the generator runs happily in ECO mode.

put 10 40 in mine, ran it for 5 to 6hrs, then changed oil, it works

I haven’t used it lately since it’s sunny enough for the solar panels to work. But I’m sure it will work next time i need. It seems well built.

just got one, it was the cheapest one I could find, £225, UK, quiet , light, just need it to charge me Batts for me Tramper van, I live init for 7 to 10 days at a time, winter time, no or little sun, it does the job

Been looking at these on Amazon just for emergency back up, £270 on Amazon, where can I get one for £225 and are you happy with this generator? All the best, Steve. 👍🇬🇧

⁠Just got one on Amazon UK, now on offer at £216. Run it for a few hours so far and it seems very good. Although advertised as "silent" it's quite noisy but probably no worse than similar units. Got it to charge my motorhome Ecoflow during the day so no need to run it at night.

@@cookiemonster2299 Hi, no it's not that bad. You can easily talk next to it but it is intrusive. As an example I ran it in my back garden about 10m from the house. I shut all the doors and windows but it was still audible as a background "hum" throughout the house. Playing music masked it but in a quiet house it was clearly audible, albeit at a low level. I was aware it was potentially annoying to my neighbours but fortunately no one complained so maybe I'm just a bit sensitive!
