The check engine light came on for EGR. The VSV tested good, and I replaced the modulator. Rather than drive 50 miles to see if the Check engine light would come on, run this test. A correctly functioning EGR would let more air into the engine, and the ECU would adjust the fuel trim accordingly. So by turning on the EGR system with the scan tool, we can verify EGR operation.
