The Cookie is absolutely amazing, it's so stable and still glides. I bag it alongside a 172 gram Fission Rhythm for the flippy fairway slot and a Fission Volt for a neutral to stable fairway speed disc. Great overview of Clashes discs guys!
The Cookie is an incredible disc! I throw RHFH and that disc holds any line I put it on. The Spice and Cinnamon are my other favorites. The more the plastic gets beat in, the better it feels. I actually use my Peach as a roller disc, predominantly. Love the content and the channel. Your videos have definitely helped me get better.
I used to use a Locastro Ginger back when those released as a meathook. There were some very overstable and glideless ones that just fade and dump. For understable drivers, there are some runs of wild honey that would make those tone salts look overstable. Soda is something that I really want to enjoy, but in the courses I play there are a lot of wooded straight shots and it sucks there because of the sideways movement. Yes, it wants to flip up and drift a little to the right or go straight, but in the end it always fades way out of the fairway. On the open it bombs, but I don't have many golf field courses near me. In the midrange slot I quite disliked all of them for the same reasons, they want to move sideways much more than for example Prodiscus Midari, which I can shoot almost flat, it will go flat and not really fade at all unless given height.
Difference in personalities I’m sure. I had been waiting for this moment for months 😂 and this was my genuine reaction. I had an absolute blast out there! If I acted any other way it would not have been genuine. So I dunno what to say lol -Mikey
Oh yeah, this video is awesome. Thanks for showing the different flights of those discs. Even though i’ve already got many of clash discs molds, this video made me want all of them🙂
Clash's plastic is fantastic and their molds are really solid. You are spot on with the fairways, they are so good. The cookie might be the best stable/overstable 7 speed I've tried. More like a 7 5 0 2.5. The peach blew me away, saw 4 speed -2 turn but man does it flip and hold really well and go really far. Closest thing to the detour I've felt. I'm a little surprised at the Vanilla for you, I found it way more reliable than the wild honey.
Maybe I can't throw my cookie hard enough or nose down enough. I have the Sunny Cookie, and it's ultra beef for me. The explorer flies for me more like the cookie does for you guys. I want to love the Cookie though.
Definitely better than the way I build my bag. I snagged a wild honey trying to swap out my Shryke. Dibs on your leftovers lol. The Leftover could be a future clash disc haha.
I was thinking about this last week. If a manufacturer were to hire coaches so that way they can work with their players and provide bonuses to the coaches depending on how the player performs. Silly idea, i know.
its pretty easy to flat top or dome up a disc. a little hot water and some weight and your good to go ether way. 15-20lbs for flat top and about 2-3lbs for doming up.
@@OverthrowDiscGolf to flat top, put a disc flight plate down in a cookie sheet. fill the disc with boiling water overflowing into the cookie sheet. Put something flat on the rim and add weight on top of that. to dome out a disc, find a bowl or pot that matches the INNER RIM of the disc (doesnt need to be perfect). Fill bowl with boiling water first. Then place disc on the bowl or pot flight plate down. add boiling water until disc is full. add weight. takes like 45-60 minuets for everything to cool down and your done.
I have a cobalt blue Steady Wild Honey - no dome - flat - flies like 12 5 -1 2. Rips like a laser; reminds me of a 12 speed plama Crave. If you can find a Wild Honey like this it will be your longest driver.
Hey love the enthusiasm love the content. Hate the damn popup with every disc. I watch at night with no sound with captions on. So I had to tap twice to be able to see what you were saying every time you started on a new disc. Quit the video after 10 minutes because of it. Please find another solution to add links for your discs. Thanks
Agree with the picks! I bag mostly Clash (it's local!) but I still have to bag Glitch, Paradox, Hex, River and Virus because they don't make those kind of discs (yet at least). Otherwise they have a very good lineup.
I should add the only non clash discs I’m throwing a lot right now are the Justice( not going anywhere) and the kastaplast Vass. My max distance driver. It’s like a more stable honey
Would have been useful to have the disc stamp graphic at the center bottom-third of the frame to serve as reference while throwing these. Thanks for the full lineup review! Would like to see the same done with Gateway.
I've been bagging the Peppermint forever as a slightly more stable compliment to my Zone. Originally tried using a Zone OS but they are nigh unthrowable.
Been switching over to Clash the last month. The butter is my main putting putter. And the berry, cookie, are Amazing work horses. Also love the pepper, spice and salt. Wild honey is sweet for turn overs and flip ups
Tall skinny guy with no accuracy made the video worse. The guy loved everything. Kind of hard to trust his reviews when every single disc is the greatest disc he has ever thrown. Shorter guy did a much better job of providing honest input.
Tall skinny guy is just high on life and truly believes every disc is the greatest he’s ever thrown. Short chubby guy is prone to skepticism and significantly less high on life. Shorter guy envies Tall Skinny Guy’s enthusiasm.
Great video overall! Glad to se you teamed up with Clash 💪🏻 I agree with you on their midrange lineup that it could fit a more shallow overstable midrange that would fit forehand better. I've tried forehanding them all and Cherry is the most shallow and is easy to forehand. Peach is second best due to its driver-ish shape. Mango and Guava are a bit too deep for a clean forehand release for me and Berry is okay if I throw it quite softly. Currently to compensate the missing piece I'm using a Steady Mint for those forehand midrange shots as it's glidier and straighter than a Zone for example, but I can see it also being too deep for some.
Great informative video, I need to get a Pepper. I love Clash, all their plastic feels great. The Peach is fire, I use it mostly for scrambling when my lie is heavily obstructed and the line is too tight to forehand. Holds right with plenty of effortless distance on anny. The Cookie is my new favorite for point and shoot forehands, feels like a cheat code driving on tight lines. I also got mine from Evan lol. Didn't like the Popcorn at first but recently put it back in the bag and it's treated me well, a lot of ~100ft near throw ins. Got a Mint recently since my zone was really beat in and not fading as hard. Another dependable approach work horse for me on forehand and backhand shots. I also bag the Ginger and Cinnamon. Ginger is stupid overstable and I often let my less experienced friends use it when they're struggling with rolling their wrist on forehand, tell them to throw it a little higher and watch their jaws drop. The soda is just effortless distance on backhand, always makes me feel like I threw a bomb. I have a several others but those are the main molds I bag as an MA3 player that can barely throw 300ft.
definitely like this type of video. between the two of you yall could build idea bags for each arm speed per manufacturer and then 'sell' the lineup/disc choices on the site. one of the reasons why I limit myself on manufacturers is so I'm not being overwhelmed by options... just a thought. either way enjoyed the video!
With so many manufacturers with discs in every slot, I’ve started focusing more on which plastics and disc shapes release consistently for me. Clash has been a winner for me in this respect. The Peach has been absolutely reliable on glidey midrange lines, and might be better than you think on forehand ( especially sunny tour series )
Not this video related but one thing I don't know if yall have done this or not. But with the tech disc to find rough mph speed req to hit different disc speeds. Like do you need 60mph for 12 or 13 speed and so on.
Putting is such an individual thing, not sure it would help much. You'd get their opinions on putters, but it might not match with how they feel in your hand.
Detour is great! Reminds me of the peach. I think they are super comparable but I love the ready plastic and the peach feel. But without the peach in the bag the detour was awesome
@@CarlosMartinez-vk9su at this point in the series the drive should be serviceable. So I asked what was lacking because the rest of the episodes wouldn’t be foundational to good form.
I'm a big proponent of "Flight numbers are BS," but this is one of the few instances where I think they are actually useful; comparing discs in a single companies line up, with the same thrower each time shows at least some internal consistency, and I think most brands do a pretty good job of that. I will say, I don't own many Clash discs but their Steady plastic feels great. It beats in a little faster than I expected for a "premium plastic" but the grip is really nice.
