So the next test you need to do is the UV test. Basically how long the prints will last in direct sunlight. Check to see if if your laminates is UV rated. Inkjets tend to fade much quicker than toner from a laser without any UV protected laminated. I run a little print shop and I loved your video. I use online labels for all my label needs, especially the weatherproof poly. I enjoyed your video, you did provide a lot of info for people who are just getting into the business.
Yes the ones with lamination bleed because once you cut them in your machine it’s opening your corners which causes your lamination to open up on the ends and not be sealed anymore because it was cut the water got to leak between
Thanks for the indepth review - I've been using J&J for a while now - its on sale until tomorrow %25 off - so I snagged 500 sheets of it for around .30 a sheet. Going to start Laminating them with some UV laminate as that is the only issue I have had with them - fading in in the sun.
What a nice and perfect video, especially the taking off part ,cause i was wondering about this part of making stickers since i think it's very important to know when clients want to change and take the stickers off how it would be like. Thank you very much for making this clear to me. ❤
This was great to watch! Would you be able to show what sitting you use for your printer before you print? I have the same one and it's not working for me. HELP Please.
I also use the scotch self adhesive laminating sheets but I find that they don’t like to bend on water bottles. Perhaps it’s my sticker paper! Love this review
I just bought online labels sticker paper and I hate it! The paper is too thin and it’s hard to peel! I have to struggle just to get the sticker to peel and my boyfriend ripped a sticker trying to get it off. It’s terrible. I will not use it again. Can you suggest a thicker sticker paper?
I may have missed if you mentioned this, but how long after you printed the stickers did you wait for the ink to completely dry before doing any water testing?
I really appreciate this video I just ordered some samples from online labels for their weatherproof vinyl, but I’m happy to try the others you suggested thank you! I’m glad I got laminate too. I saw others using it and have the Avery kind!
I have clear printable sticker paper , and I was wondering how f you could do a tutorial or if you had a tutorial of making stickers and others items using clear printable sticker paper??
I was looking at online labels, is there a reason you use the weatherproof vs regular matte since you also laminate over them? I want to make stickers as a little extra to go with my small business products. Thanks for such a great video!
Not sure if you ever got your answer. The reason I buy waterproof is because if they are put on an item that gets wet the sticky part wont come off, the laminating part only ads protection to to the actual ink on th sticker
hey what settings do you use for your printer? Im just starting my sticker business and idk what settings to use for printing my art onto the sticker paper
How much do you charge for sticker sheets? I’m trying to price mine but I don’t know if I’m charging too much it too little. Is $4 or $3 good for a sticker sheet that is half a page?
Do you know if JOYEZA or the other labels totaly cover whats underneath? like trueblock technology from avery? do does the image under sticker leaks through ?
It seems like you actually laminated your sticker in a laminating machine. I thought you used self adhesive sheets? I tried only once and my sticker paper became more "bloochy", the stickiness uneven (it was with another brand of sticker paper thought). Have you ever had any problem with them sticky too much to the paper or the glue becoming uneven?
Yes! So the self adhesive laminating sheet is still a laminating sheet but only one sided so the sticker still has the sticky side! the only problem i've had is if i try to use glossy sticker paper, the sheet gets bubbly. but with my usual online labels matte weatherproof, it works just fine!
Did you run them through laminator cold or hot? Even though it says you don’t have to put through laminating machine do you feel it removes potential air bubbles from stickers? What kind of laminating machine do you use? Love your video by the way 😊
@@mikaelamcgee2191 The laminator isn't what waterproofs them it's the laminate itself. Most sticker makers use cold lamination film with adhesive, so usually they're just running it through on a cold setting to press the film down firmly. I personally don't like that method because once you get good at putting it on by hand it's much faster. Totally depends on what you prefer.
