HELLO FRIENDS!! here is our full stream for this week!! sorry it's so inappropriate!!! crusty is doing ok, and a new main channel video should be up soon :) see you guys next week at 5pm eastern something time! xoxo, saf
Absolutely! Just imagine the anger he must have had because of Safiya's witchy batlike clothing style. I want to believe it took some years but he finally made his peace with witches and will be rewarded for that in his afterlife.
Totally love your show(s). At almost 73, I am supposed to be too grown-up for your humor. Alas and alack I am not which makes me a very fun grandmother for my 11-year-old grandson. Keep up the good work. I love to laugh.
Wow that's amazing and I hope you continue to LOL! My family has historically had kids very early so at 28 my Gramma is 65 and while my great grandmother recently passed would be 82 now. I have not continued that pattern personally but my ggma did get to meet at least one of the great-great-grandchildren my cousin produced.
Growing up is stupid. 0/10 would not recommend. Don't let anybody tell you what kind of humor you can laugh at. Also. You are at the age where you can be dirty again.
From all the vet staff. Please call your vet and tell them how Crusty is doing. We love hearing that these pets we think wouldn’t make it are doing better.
In Costa Rica we have been doing this for years. A straw, a pastry bag and some finessing, we cut the bananas in half, core them, fill them with diverse substances, stick a skewer on the flat side, throw them in the freezer and then coat them in melted chocolate. We call them "chocobananos" some people add nuts and other stuff that can stick to the melted chocolate. We fill them with peanut butter, nutella, dulce de leche, condensed milk, chocolate, jam, etc. If the filling is excessively viscous we just warm it up a little to make it more manageable. The trick is to pinch the straw to first impale the banana (the air pressure makes it unbelievably strong so it doesn't bend going in) and then let go of the pinch to push the straw in, then pinch it again to pull it out so the core comes out with it. A boba straw sounds awesome, I usually just make 2-3 holes right next to each other with a standard straw.
Thank you sooo much for this comment! Now everyone will know where they got the idea for that contraption, but more importantly know how to make filled bananas at home without it! You're an angel!
May I direct your attention to 1:10:42 Saf: unintelligible noises with a mouth full of watermelon Carly: laughs at the ridiculousness of it Ty, immediately and wondrously understanding every syllable: " *Yeah, cause it's RIPE!* " 😂😂😂 Now that's a marriage, my friends. Happy anniversary, lovelies! ❤️
15:44 I'm obsessed with how the first amazon review lists like forty things no human being should ever have to experience and then has the audacity to say "EVERYONE should have one of these < 3"
truly overjoyed that i got to spend the last 2 hours of my birthday watching u guys mow watermelon, violently shake eggs, and eat a nutella & corn sandwich. this is, infact, what dreams are made of ❤️
As a crazy cat lady, thank you for taking in Crusty and helping him reach the ripe old age of 20+. Not everyone is willing to help get cats off the street like that, and many would've given up on him as soon as the found out how old he is. I'm sad that he's reaching the end of his life, but I'm so happy it got to spend it with you. Also, thank you for keeping the fans informed. It's really appreciated.
I’m so happy for Crusty too! Reminds me of my best friend kitty! My cat Marco passed this year after 18-19 years of age, and he was such a fighter too! He was my best-friend for nearly 20 years ❤️, and was there for every good or bad day! He survived going through the dryer (an accident 😩), 2 dog attacks, and severe case of pneumonia! He got attacked horribly about 3 years ago, and had lived with a broken sternum ever since! He knew I still needed him then, and stayed for me which ended up being the best 4 last years with him ❤️!!! He finally passed away after losing his fight to cancer, but he was the best cat /best-friend ever! I miss him soooo much, but he’s with his brother now which makes me happy! So glad sweet old Crusty is pulling through to stay for his favorite humans 🥰! I’m glad he’s feeling better, and can get back to his obnoxious grandpa self ❤️!!!
Tyler's ability to immediately and completely understand what Saf's saying with a mouthful of watermelon that makes her words come out as unintelligible noises is amazing.
i’m glad that crusty is doing better!!! it sucks when our fur babies get old and sick. my dog is 14 human years..almost 100 in dog years and she’s slowly slowing down.... as for daylight savings time....yukon territory stayed the same...alaska is two hours ahead of us and bc is one....SO confusing
Pumpkin is a miracle food for pets! I feed it to my dogs whenever they have stomach issues and it always works miracles! Fed it to my smaller dog this last week after her own foray at the ER vet, and she’s doing good now. 💕
Winter squash does just as well if you can't find canned pumpkin. I grow the orange fleshed mini butternut types called honeynut and buttercup I used to dehydrate it kinda think l cooked down or baked and pureed to make a kind if fruit leather for my dog. The vet said it was good for them.
Currently watching this downstairs after being kicked out of Bed 17 minutes in from trying to silently giggle and failing. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Really enjoying tonight’s stream & glad Crusty pulled through 🐱🐱 and happy anniversary 💕💕
crusty's resurrection any time someone thinks he's doing too poorly seems pretty much like any time my (almost) geriatric rabbit smells a banana. She won't move for anything, but she'll run a marathon for a bit of banana. Anyway i'm just trying to say that Crusty is to Spite as Samwise Fluffybuns is to banana.
Lowkey a clap back at Tyler for his comment at 21:40, lol. "Because it's our first anniversary, you get the first bite of the nutella banana. You took a lot right there."
October 2017, my grandma's dog had gotten so sick that the vet recommended that my grandma take her home and let her be comfortable because she wouldn't last through the weekend. my grandma went all out, bought her new blankets and let her sit on all of the furniture, we even came around to say goodbye to her. 4 years later, she's still going STRONG AS HELL, it's like nothing even happened. she's still a feisty little lady who still manages to escape the backyard fence even though her spine is messed up (separate issue) and her back legs don't work too great. animals are very surprising!
Oh God, hearing about Crusty genuinely made me start crying. I know that the little guy's okay, but it just really got to me. I know what it's like to be in their position, and it's absolutely awful.
My first cat, Smokey, was an over 21 year old cat. He used up every one of his lives. Got lost on a train, fell out of 5 story building chasing a bird, to name a few adventures. Bless you Crusty 😻
I bought blackberry jam for my toddler because of the book “If You Give a Moose a Muffin” so she would know what it was. I like blackberry jam but man, it’s her favorite now. Top pic every time for her PBJs. Also, I’m glad to hear of Crusty’s remarkable recovery! He’s a trooper. Happy Anniversary!
I’m so happy that Crusty is doing better! I know what it’s like to have a sick cat. It’s not fun it’s stressful and heartbreaking. Keeping him in my thoughts!! We love you Crusty
I honestly prefer when Saf is not reading the chat all the time. Tyler's conversation with the people behind the camera was very interesting and enjoyable. Saf was all distracted. 😔
I agree, it just creates a weird vibe... Like you're watching a couple on a date where one of them keeps getting distracted by their phone all the time. Why can't Carly be in charge of the chat and read out funny comments, suggestions, tips etc. every once in a while? I think it would be worth a shot.
You people are idiots. She wasn't distracted, she was trying to interact with the chat and answer them as she's supposed but Tyler wouldn't stfu so she was waiting for him to finish. Chat isn't there to interact with Carly, they're there to interact with T and S, common sense. And clearly that's how they want to do THEIR stream.
@@glittery_cucumberNo it doesn't idiot. The whole point of streams is to interact with the chat 🤦♀️ otherwise they could just record an regular uncut video. That's how they want to do it.
All I could think of with the uncrustable maker was the McDonald’s apple pie maker I had as a kid! You flattened the bread and filled it with applesauce to make the “pies.” Very niche 90s nostalgia for me. We bought one of these to replace it, but I feel like it’s right up your alley!
No I didn’t screen record Safiya saying my name like a total creep 😅🙃🤣 the fact you said it right literally made my whole night! Thank you for the crusty update and Happy Anniversary❤️
They really should look into some cloth Kitty diapers for poor Crusty, then they only need to clean him a few times a day instead of everywhere in their apartment.
My Sister-in- Law has reusable cloth diapers that are specially made for dogs because Lily has always had urine incontinence issues. They have been a life saver!
Corn shucking (cause you can shuck oysters too) is when you remove the outer covering like the husk and silk/ green part that surrounds the ear/ cob with kernels.
Peanut Butter and Fluff is called a "fluffernutter", and it's the state sandwich of Massachusetts. Fluff was actually invented just down the road from me, actually.
As a vet tech student with a senior cat I 100% know how hard this situation is, I'm so glad he's pulling through! Glucose monitors for humans also work for cats if that's something he would tolerate (my own would never) but he is very lucky to be so loved by such wonderful humans.
I'm a veterinary nurse, and not to be negative but more so coming from a place of love and education, sometimes animals can get better for a brief period of time (like they seem perfectly fine all of the sudden) after they've come close to passing, kind like a last hoorah and then they will decline rapidly again. I"m NOT saying that's what's happening because I have no idea of his medical information. But, just keep that in mind and make sure to cherish every moment with him. I know you both love him and so do thousands of other people. Animals are some of the best spirits humans get to build relationships with throughout our lifetimes. I'm sending hugs and positive vibes.
@@juanitacarrollyoung2979 I'm very sorry you're going through a difficult time with your pup. I can sympathize with how heartbreaking that can be. I lost my soul mate dog in 2020 very unexpectedly and a day doesn't go by where I don't think of him and miss him. Sending you well wishes.
As someone who struggles to eat sandwiches with the crust because of sensory issues, that sandwich cutter looks fun and functional, though I think I would prefer less waste...
Turn the crust into bread pudding. Or as I have to call it to get my boyfriend to eat it: french toast casserole. Not sure why he has an issue with the name "bread pudding", but he sure does love "french toast casserole".
To be fair, I think this gadget would actually involve less waste. Though I've never seen the production techniques of Uncrustables; the wrapping they come is (in my opinion) a worst waste than bread crust.
I'm convinced Crusty is immortal at this point lmao Though in seriousness it's scary for an elderly pet to become ill, i have a nearly 12 year old cat and a 10 year old dog (his bday was on Monday actually!!) And any sickness is an immediate panic They're both healthy aside from some achey ears and my dog has doggy arthritis
LOL, why do I feel like the appropriate response to about half this video is "that's what she said"! In all seriousness, fun stream and glad Crusty is ok!
yooo we had the crust tool when i was a kid! my brother has sensory issues and refused to eat crusts so this was useful for him tho i used it a lot too lol. i ought to see if my mom still has it. also laughed when tyler questioned them being frozen. uncrustabbles come from the freezer section in the grocery store lol. i was poor and vegetarian so in high school those were often the only free lunch option i could eat and they were usually still half frozen TT
Crusty reminds me of a cat I had. She was soooo old, and many times when she was sick or looking particularly frail and weak, we thoughts this is the end, it's time to say goodbye to her, and we'd emotionly prepare for her to leave us... and then she'd pull through. So many times. Over many years. Cats are special creatures!
To answer your guys' question Smuckers makes peanut butter (actually butters) and they are all the natural ones, you know with just peanuts and salt. I love them more than Skippy and Jiff. Also they make Knott's Jam and Preserves. 🙂
BOIL IT FIRST... I meant boil it before you cracked it open... but your response was super funny! I just wanted to say I'm SO impressed you pronounced my name right!! That never happens! You totally made my whole week!!! ❤ Happy Anniversary and love to Crusty! 🥰
The other day my 16yr old cat woke me up at about 5:40am with loud vomiting sounds outside my door. I got up to see her step away from a big wet vomit pile to then piss out a few days worth of pee. She then proceeded to walk away from the pee and drop a sloppy dump on the floor as well. This was all on carpet and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I also found more poops around the corner afterwards. It reminded me of Crusty. 🖤
Little idea for the uncrustable crusts you cut away. Just make Korean crusts. I seen them where you toast the crusts with butter and add sugar to it like brown sugar and cinnamon. It wouldn't be a waste but it also more enjoyable then eating the crust.
…do people actually put both the peanut butter and jelly on the same slice of bread? Carly reacted to Tyler doing that like he was crazy but that’s what I’ve always done.
Happy to hear Crusty is doing well! My family had to put down out 15 year old cat on Thursday, the same day you got the call from the vet. He was also a stray, very skinny at the end, and had some bowel issues... In addition to kidney disease, heart disease, arthritis and a mass on his pancreas. He had a good life, just like Crusty has had with you two! Wishing you the best.
The egg thing really got me. I never before felt stronger need to reach through the screen and show how it’s done. When I saw the guy spinning it my childhood rushed over to remind me of an old trick that served as a toy of some sorts. A big almost like a tiny plate sized button with four holes and a string placed through those holes. And just like that you just started kinda slow until it was spinning like the egg was supposed to in that contraption. I’d spent years twirling that button so I recognized the hand motion. My button did have longer thread but don’t think it’s the issue here. It’s the rhythm and speed that must be caught aligned immediately as the spin happens. But would that do anything to the egg itself? I’m not quite sure if spin’s done right would that centrifugal motion make it scramble. Don’t think it can. I believe shaking would actually do something.
My cat is 24, diabetic, and her kidney have been failing for the last 2 years... Everyone wonders how she's still alive. I feel you in the old cat zone. Crusty is lucky to have special pet parents that love him so much ❤
With the egg scrambler it just reminds me of the centrifuge-esque toy we’d make as kids out of yogurt lids. Pulling on the strings and watching the designs drawn on the lid spin again and again was definitely childhood pleasure lol
For the egg scrambler, I remember making that kind of toy as a kid! You punch a couple of holes in a bottle cap with a nail, thread a string though, and endlessly fidget with your new toy. It was like a fidget spinner but better!
Daylight Savings Time is what we just switched away from. We're now on Standard Time (the "real" time). Seems this has gotten REALLY confused this year, for some reason.
So I think what people really want is just to change to DST all year round. Everyone hates losing the hour of daylight in the evening when we switch to standard time.
@@aksez2u Probably, but eventually, it will still be dark at the hour they want it to be light in winter -- not to mention they'll start complaining because it's barely sunrise at 8am (at least, that's what would happen in the midwest) and kids will have to go to school in the dark. It's hard enough to wake up in the morning, but add in that it's still dark? More of a problem, I'd bet. They're not going to be happy either way, so I say just get used to what we get. If we get rid of anything, it SHOULD be DST because Standard time is the "real" time to begin with.
@@Excitable67 There is no "real" time. It's a human construct. What is real is the light and dark cycle of the day. We should get to decide how we want to label it. I would just like them to do away with the CHANGE and think it's unnecessary. You are correct that no matter what, people will complain.
I just finished the live, here to watch the first 30-ish since I was late. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HOLLIE!!! Edit: hugs and kisses to Crusty!
The look in their eyes when they say something that’s playing chicken with the demonisation train is priceless. It’s just like “oh you’re motorboating the watermelons” and then 😐
Pets get so stressed out at the vets and I swear they forget to take that into account. Getting home and getting all those loves probably made all the difference ❤💕
RE: Crunchy Nutella There is a product called OvoMaltine Crunchy that is like...non-hazelnut Nutella, but with malt crunchies. Like a malt ball spread. It's so good.
@@hathorthecow7146 I've never really noticed the hazelnut aspect, honestly. The idea of being able to spread chocolate on anything was the draw for me. But yeah, the Ovomaltine is pretty freaking good.
When my cat was 14 the vet said she didn’t have much longer so take her home, enjoy her last few days, feed her some tuna. That cat lived 6 more years JUST for the tuna. 😂
Still waiting to see corn on the cob on the vegetable peeler. Also, thank you so much for really showing up for Crusty. You get the award for best cat parents!
You can really tell how much of a toll the Crusty situation had taken on them in this stream. They definitely seem tired and kind of out of it. It's still a good stream for sure! It just makes me sad to see that they had such a rough week :(
Omg, those egg things reminded me of a toy I used to have. It was basically the exact same thing, only smaller and instead of an egg container in the middle, it was a light (plastic bar with two lights at each end). It would look awesome when you used it in the dark. I don't remember it being _that_ hard to use either, but it wasn't easy either. (Yes, I could get it to continuously spin like the person in the video. Glad you guys figured it out as well!)
This was the funniest one yet! I was crying laughing so hard!! Also I have tht egg one and it totally works. However, the egg is then suuuper hard to peel and it has a really rubbery texture.
It's crazy how much a diet change can help old animals. My childhood dog died when he was 17, which is definitely the older end for his breed. When he was about 15 we started mixing Greek yogurt and blueberries in with his food (which he lived and basically inhaled every day 😂) and we saw him perk up so much when we added that to his diet. We really think that was a big part of why he made it that last two years.
Even tho crusty is a witch trapped in a cat and will live forever, if it is ever time to put him down, go the extra mile and hire a service to come to your house to do it. It'll make him so much more comfortable.
