HELLO FRIENDS!! hope you guys enjoyed this cooking stream!! we are very pleased with our new griddle and quiet hand mixer so we will probably do more cooking streams, lol. stay tuned for a main channel video out later this week! xoxo, saf
Hey Saf, I have a 21 year old cat who is too arthritic to use a litter box too. To stop her from peeing on the ground, I bought a shallow litter pan and lined it with puppy pee pads and she no longer pees on the floor! Crusty might appreciate it as well and will save you from the mess and smell ❤️
Does anyone know what mixer this is?!?!? I would love to buy it. I love baking with my son and I kinda stopped cuz my daughter has an egg allergy but I’d love to get back to it. I’ve been keeping my eye out for something like this because my son has audio sensitivities so he hates most mixers and has to step away or cover his ears. I would really love to buy this so we can all start baking together.
True confessions: when Safiya first started the live stream with Tyler I was bummed missing the old content… now, I’m really seeing their dynamic and LOVE what Tyler brings to the stream. So happy to be a part of this growth 🥰
Lol I was happy they started a livestream channel as soon as I saw it, that way we get to see them in between main channel videos, which take 1 - 2 months to upload; plus they try out things in the livestreams that are pretty cool
I absolutely love how the close up shots of Safia look like Nick Cage is intensely peaking over the table to see what she’s doing. This is the content I want 🤣
So... every time they went to the action shot and zoomed in on Saf's or Ty's hands, the face of Nicholas Cage always managed to surprise me and caught me off guard. It happened a ton of times already in this stream and each time I always jump a little bit.
I love how relaxed and happy Saf is in this one. If you compare this stream to the first stream, there’s a huge difference. They’re so much more comfortable streaming and I love how much Saf is laughing 💖
If skipping a stream means that Saf will finally be able to give us colonial Williamsburg content, that’s amazing. I’m so excited to see what crazy antics y’all get into, excluding butter churning.
@@Daggeira Ok, let's rules lawyer this. [*insert Yu Gi Oh theme music*] JK but I'm really enjoying this concept, and my one coworker who posed questions like this for fun hasn't been around lately, so I'm gonna overanalyze this for a sec. What's the definition of a spoon? We have to know what a spoon is before we can definitively say a measuring cup isn't a spoon. Wiki says it's a "small shallow bowl (also known as a head), oval or round, at the end of a handle", but a ladle is a spoon with " long handle terminating in a deep bowl". Arguably, the "shallow"ness of a spoon is subjective, as is the length of "long" for a handle. If you combine a short handle with a ladle sized, deep bowl, you end up with something that looks like a standard metal measuring cup for dry ingredients. And since that standard metal measuring cup technically fits the requirements of both spoon and the spoon-subtype of ladle, due to subjective qualities factored into both.... Ty technically understood the assignment!
@@MaiseNow Well, first off, cups aren't shallow, comparitively. Pretty much all cups have a capacity of more mass than a ladle, which I'm sure we can agree is the largest spoon. (Especially in the case of measuring cups, which have been standardized to hold 2 cups of fluid in North America, whereas I belive a ladle typically holds a mere half cup) Then, there's the difference in handle shapes & sizes due to the difference in mass meant to be contained in either object. In conclusion, the two objects have markedly different appearances and intended uses, which makes them different objects imo. This is a weird debate lmao, but I maintain my stance.
@@Daggeira how should we define a spoon and a cup? The shape of the measuring cup in the video (and other measuring cups I've had) is much more like a spoon than a cup, so should it be a measuring spoon? Because spoons usually have a straight handle that is fixed to the spoon at one point at the rim. Cups usually have a bent handle that's fixed at two points, both of which are below the rim. If we use these definitions, the object in the video would be a spoon
I once ate waffles at a breakfast restaurant in Canada, looking forward to the delicious local maple syrup. They gave me log cabin. Never been so disappointed.
Oof yeah I live in maple syrup country but you still have to request real maple at restaurants and they’ll charge you around $5 for a nip sized bottle of it. At this point I just stick to butter on my pancakes/waffles at restaurants. Sometimes honey if they have it. My brother will bring syrup with him because he’s shameless-I mean thrifty 😂
Yeah, I was surprised to see that maple syrup wasn't any cheaper there then it is in the desert that I live in, where it's definitely not originating from.
Okay I have a revamp for the pancake cereal. Go back to making regular sized pancakes. In the mean time, put a pat of butter, a splash of cream, and a splash of real maple syrup in a small dish. Warm it up in the microwave like 15 seconds and stir until the butter is totally melted. Dip your bites of pancake into the syrup mix while eating. That’s what I do when I want to be extra with my pancakes and it’s very delicious imo. If you live somewhere without real maple syrup, it would probably be good with honey or brown sugar instead. You can even add flavors like vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc
if y'all ever get to come visit Canada, you have to do the "cabane a sucre" experience. Pouring maple syrup onto snow and eating it like a lollipop. Very canadian, very tasty
there’s something different about saf in this video. she seems so much more relaxed and i don’t know if i’ve ever seen her laugh so hard. i could be wrong but just a thought. it’s not a negative thing either. it’s just good to see her so happy
tip for hanging shirts without getting shoulder stretching (for long sleeves): fold the shirt in half so the sleeves are together and drape the shirt over the top of the hanger with the hanger's hook in the armpit. you can tuck the sleeves and torso through the hanger to prevent it from falling off (a learned theater costumer's trick to keep sweaters intact)
I’m pretty sure the concept of overbeating isn’t that it becomes too fluffy, it’s that at a certain point you start popping the bubbles instead of creating more and therefore turning it back to a less fluffy form. So I don’t think your concern of “it’s supposed to be as fluffy as possible” means you can’t overbeat it, just the opposite actually.
I’m so glad you said soggy cinnamon life that is my absolute favorite especially the end of the bag where there are little bits and extra cinnamon sugar, it’s amazing
holy crap- Liberty's Kids used to be my favorite show growing up, but no one I mention it to has ever heard of it! I'm glad Saf and Tyler remember it too (though I'm surprised they never had nick cage guest star- they had everyone else!")
The cooked cloud bread looks like troll boogers from Harry Potter 😂 I laughed for five minutes straight over the 1/4 cup spoon and I’m pretty sure my husband is concerned for me, haha, great stream tonight, always entertaining! ☺️
Oh my God I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed that I think it’s so cute! I had to skip back a couple times to see if he actually said it but I couldn’t tell until I put on clothes captions lol
i couldn't check it immediately when saf told us the name of it, and then i forgot, and now i can't find it anymore! could you please tell me the name of it or give me a timestamp? (don't forget that you cannot usually put links underneath youtube! :) )
omg i’m sad for y’all who don’t have access to takis. it use to be kinda hard to find them in the us too, maybe just where i’m from but i always had to go to hispanic food stores after school with a few bucks to get them in middle school. now they’re everywhere, target, walmart, gas stations, etc.
Oh nooo I missed the cute insta story of Crusty eating his arthritis treat! I will just have to imagine it. Love the stream - thanks for trying these things out so I don't have to!
crusty was probably an adult cat before williamsburg was even colonial. of the three types of cats, he's definitely "elder god trapped in a tiny furry body".
I'm relatively early into the rewatch, so I'm not sure how the cloud bread turned out, but using pre separated egg whites is not recommended for any kind of meringue/air whipping. They are usually heat separated which affects the ability for the eggs to whip properly. It might work fine here, but something to keep in mind for future baking. It's a risky short cut. Also, the sugar should be added gradually.
I was perfectly fine, just casually watching the stream, but when Tyler left for a spoon and came back with a measuring cup I lost it 🤣🤣🤣 also I need to see googly eyes on Safiya's shirt 😀👍
Idk if you can do this but it would be great if you could turn on subtitles even if they are automatically generated. I watch this with my mom and we both love these streams, but she is ESL so only understands about half of the stuff that's going on and sometimes I don't know how to translate it
Saf I went to colonial Williamsburg too when I was 12 it might be a thing. I went with my school. But I went about 18 years ago when I was 18( am 36 now) and I had so much fun!!!!! I did all the stuff I did when I was 12 plus the ghost tours which were so fun! It is a trip I look back on fondly. I did a Baltimore, D.C. Annapolis, Williamsburg trip. Great trip so fun so historical so Colonial.
OmG thank you Saf for wearing that shirt, every single zoom of you or your hands had me in splits cuz like Tyler said the whites of Nicholas Cage's eyes 😂😂😂
Nicolas Cage shirt was very distracting, BUT this color looks Amazing on Saf. So pretty and fresh and radiant. Awesome look Saf. Love you both (I mean Saf and Ty) ❤
I love all your tv show/movie references! like omg I get all of them and I don't think I have come across another person who's seen all of the stuff I've seen
The number of times Nick Cage makes an awkward look in the close up camera and the number of times safiya's face matches one of the Nick Cage faces is hilarious
My first time at colonial Williamsburg was when I was in 5th grade. It was THE trip that the whole 5th grade took every year and it was my first big field trip ever, and it was an overnight one too. It was so much fun! Also, and this will date me, but it was literally the first time I had ever seen a music video (or MTV, I think) at the motel that night and my mind was blown. It was... let me think back... 1990 or so... the video was Sinnead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U if that helps the vibe lolol ahhhh the MEMORIES....
