I can understand brands getting pissed that their products are getting duped all the time but also likeeeee some of us can’t afford $30+ for one product!! Here for the accessibility 🙌

If people are buying the dupe it means a.) your product isn't worth the price, or b.) those people (me) could never afford your product anyway. People who buy Chanel or Dior still buy Chanel or Dior, it wouldn't matter if there was an exact "dupe" of the formula. They get the value they want in the luxury experience and elite status of the name. There's a weird grey area dominated by prestige brands like CT where it's not truly luxury/high end but their prices keep creeping that direction. So I think it's great to see drugstore dupes on the rise in response to that, they aren't offering anything that justifies the snooty price tags to begin with.
