I’m not even in the UK and I watch this channel all the time. Dagan is an awesome player with an infectious enthusiasm. In an increasingly polarized and cynical world, Dagan is a breath of fresh air. As to the ToneMaster Pro, the demos sound awesome. And for a guy like me who’s a middle aged weekend gig kind of player, it may be the right choice. Fractal’s FM9 might have more options and tweakability but I’m not sure I have the time or energy to learn new software and programming. For a guy like me the ToneMaster Pro’s “user friendliness” might make it the right choice.
I'll hazard a bet at Thai Airplane being a Mark Speer from Khruangbin tone. It sounds right and the band name Khruangbin comes from the Thai word meaning airplane ;)
I’d love to hear a side by side of this and the Fender Mustang GTx. So far I haven’t heard anything that sounds so much better. Other than this being a pedalboard version of that and supposed different modeling algorithms. And the clean tones were meh. Maybe it sounds way better in person
I've been wanting to hear that "Barking Moon" preset since this unit came out. YOU are the only person who has bothered to demo it. It sounded pretty good!
And how much is the fr fr cab? You still need a cab if you want to hear yourself on stage properly. That's a lot of $$$ once you factor in the unit, FR FR, and expression pedal.
Might just be the sun shining on my screen but you’re looking a bit grey these days sir. I was also jet black when I first started watching your videos. 😂
Do that then. This isn't meant to be simply a replacement to pedals, it's also an amp/cab modeller and audio interface with mic/xlr input. It's meant to be a single unit a performing player can use. They've hinted at lower tier versions which would bring the price down towards the home player. Personally for me and home use I prefer a combo of pedals with a simple modeller for amp sounds only. Currently in my small apartment a spark go plugged into my pc speakers (Decent quality set) is what i'm using 90 percent of the time. Whilst using a modeller for pedals can be great, I think you have more flexibility in playing with pedals, no need to go through apps or banks of settings, just stomp what you need when you need it.
MY DUDE .. DAGAN.. I have watch about 5 of the reviews on this device AND YOURS WAS ACTUALLY FUCKING ENTERTAINING. its a saturday mornin here inn Minot North Dakota usa and you GOT ME ROCKIN SO HARD that Im gonna watch this again !!!! GOOD ON YOU MATE and I could tell you weere having fun too!!! great job AS ALWAYS love your shit ROCK ON! (gonna like and share as always
I tried this at a local music store near my friend’s place last weekend and I’m genuinely impressed by how it sounded, you can definitely get so many cool sounds from bands like The Police, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Queen, U2, Rush and stuff like that and it’s absolutely awesome
@@JoshuaTaylor-i1j I'm sure that you can make a preset or something that's reminiscent of his tone at least and obviously I know that it's digital, I'm just saying that as someone who's tried out that same gear I'm really impressed with its versatility and think that it's really good for what it does
@@JoshuaTaylor-i1j nah my line 6 helix has taken the shelf since I bought the TMP and it may be digital but it's top notch digital at 56 I'm done toting around my tube amps. This is so close with the feel and playability.
If I had to guess, I think Happy Valentine is probably Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine and Ice Cold Shot is 100% Stevie Ray Vaughan and his song Cold Shot
Helpful video. Thanks. Pretty sure the Bella Donna is for Stevie Nicks' Edge of Seventeen tone. It's the name of the album it appears on and sounds like a good fit
Dagan. If you could get someone to film the screen while cycling through the presets, that would be PMTVUK's most viewed video. No playing needed, just show each setting for 5 seconds then click to the next. This information would be priceless for players of all levels.
Is Lime Punk not just a general sort of Green Day tone? Lime == Green? And Happy Valentine could be My Bloody Valentine, didn't hear enough to be sure. Great video btw!
I never liked the idea of a modelling amps, then came the Tonemaster series of amps! I was impressed, then came this, and I got one, it is an amazing piece of kit! Well done Dagan, a fun look at the presets, and you did it justice, rock on!
I really appreciate your demo videos. You have an awesome personality and dont get all flashy showing off your shred skills and focus on getting a good representation of what youre demoing. Awesome stuff.
This was not only the most schizophrenic review that I have ever seen, but also the absolute best one that I’ve ever seen in regards to demonstrating the presets of the TMP. But then again, I could be missing a fuse 😎
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this because of your killer playing and fun attitude. I too went through the factory presets, with about as much excitement as the next election. Thanks for making it fun again. Great play-through man, very off the cuff, well done! I was a bit non-plussed at first when I got the TMP, and accompanying FR-10 cab. Even though I intend to create my own sounds, I’ll have to try the presets again with a new perspective. Might even grab my Les Paul rather than the Tele, quite inspiring. Thanks for the super cool video, I’m a fan, subscribed.
I mean.... Does it sound OK? Yeah. Does it sound "Pay way too much when you can pick up something that sounds just as good and has more features for like half the price?" NOPE. If Fender had priced this a bit lower, I think it would do OK.... But considering it has less features than a lot of the "older" modelers, has no real innovative things built into it, and is charging a premium price, I think that it won't do very well.
My first time on your feed. You're a hoot. I love it! I've been looking at this fender device for a bit now. I like you dude. I think I'm going to buy one great demo. Will subscribe
