This job turned out to be a complete abortion cluster FÛč! With completely plugged air filters one dead air handler with no airflow over it. And the only thing the so-called technician can think of was to add 20+ more pounds of refrigerant into the system. WTF!!!... there’s gonna be a lot more videos much later on after this is completely fixed and back up operational just no time to release them yet jump straight to the end of where this led me. This is the first time I’ve ever had to use this inverter checker on any of my installs of equipment it’s made in ( Hitzkirch Switzerland)

My gauge set is refco nice quality Swiss, I got it about 19 years ago after I got ripped off by a car garage that re changed my car when it had that massive leak in the condenser. At that time in the uk the only information I could find on car AC was on American web sites as hardly any cars had AC. I had to teach myself all about it. I'm fairly practical as im an Electrician so I enjoyed learning about it. My car was made in 94 so one of the first using 134a in the UK. It worked well with AC as it was a 1.9 turbo diesel so plenty of torque. They only information available from America was the temperature pressure charts no information about weighing it in. And only a bit of basic theory. Since then I got myself an old vacuum pump off ebay which is a 2 stage made by thermal engineering from the 1970s or 80s (made in USA) . It's got a nice big vacuum gauge mounted on the top it still pulls a good vacuum well as far as I can tell as I only have the analogue gauge. It's very old school but it's only for my cars. I wanted a car with AC as I had bad hay fever.

nice work mate, showed my apprentices and they really liked your video. One apprentice lets call him Liam, well he said it sounds like you have been drinking alcohol. I don't agree with him, i just think it's your accent but Liam is a little judgemental and a little angry. Anyway keep up the good work p.s Liam said he isn't angry but thats just what angry people say

@coldfinger459sub0 do you know if mitsu mini splits behave the same way as the unit you are working on in this video? More specifically, do mitsus also sense for compression after sending signal to WVU?

@@EnjoyCalculus Mitsubishi works the same way as everybody else when it comes to the rotation for three phase As for actually sensing their compression and sending feedback that the physical rotor is spinning on older units, I do not know of any that have a hole affect sensor, installed onto the shaft, or the side of the scroll sensing its movement . They do have pressure transducer’s that since compression in through your laptop, software and the interface, you can actually plug-in to some of the nicer units and read all the data off your laptop

Hey bud, How did you go with the job? Was the compressor faulty?
@coldfinger459sub0

When I got the call for this job only because it was somebody I knew did I go. New manager took over and had somebody else try to fix it right at that point, is where I should’ve turned around and left when they told me what they tried to do to fix it. When I told my son that they tried to put over 20 pounds of refrigerant to make it cold again the first thing even my son told me was put the phone down and don’t even take the job it’s no longer your mess it’s somebody else’s. So how did this job turn out how does the story go. It ended up needing a compressor. The completely plugged up air filters downstairs we’re comical they were so plug was sulfur dust. And because the air handler‘s were played with sulfur dust the inside of the air handler box became so negative pressure like a vacuum cleaner. It started sucking in sulfur dust what was in a vapor form in the atmosphere used for sterilization it was sucked in through the smallest holes in embedded itself and built up on the circuit boards shorting out the circuit boards killed two circuit boards onto air handler’s inside. Panasonic is such a screwed up effed up abortion of a company to deal with to buy parts. Panasonic was so screwed up they literally got kicked out of their distributor center in South city with so many messed up orders repeated damaged goods and being told six weeks or eight weeks or 10 weeks to get replacements and then to have them come in damaged again. They no longer have a local distributor so you have to travel all the way up to the Northbay in Marin we’re all the way to the East Bay somewhere over by Fresno or Hayward because nobody wants their ass inside the HVAC commercial warehouse because they have such shitty service for parts. They had a electrical supply house who knows nothing at all about HVAC in the Northbay distributing their parts you might as well have a Starbucks or 7-Eleven can do the exact same thing and there’s more of them to get your parts distributed it’s so pathetic. Then they had one commercial HVAC place way over in the East Bay south towards Hayward or something like that or farther they didn’t want to let me order parts they wanted me to physically come there and pay for No over the phone order credit card order. Have no idea how expensive my time is to takeoff just to drive over across the bay to make an order is just plain stupid they could go shove their order up where the sun doesn’t shine. They ordered a air handler board that got one air handler board air handler working. A power board and an inverter board. That took care of that part at that point with the test procedures because you cannot use on method with a multimeter to test a inverter compressor. After the new inverter board sent a good signal to the compressor the compressor still did not work so once they were told that was gonna be another $2800 for the parts and I don’t even want to tell you what the labor was going to be. They stopped after that thank God. I was just irate and want to rant and strangle somebody for being so F-ing stupid To shove over 20 pounds of refrigerant down VFR compressor. Those compressors should have easily lasted 20 - 30 years if not longer with good care. In all my decades I have never had once any of my compressors ever die on a job. Like my father used to tell me if a compressor dies it’s your fault that was ingrained in to me since I was a child working with him. I’m gonna make a new policy from now on on my big VRF installations for commercial jobs. The second I find out somebody else worked on them that I’ve never worked on a VFR system before. I will ask them to hang up and delete my phone number and never call me back. I have some videos on it I did not publish I don’t do editing in splice videos together but if I ever do release the videos on my findings and all the problems I had trying to order the parts from Panasonic and how long I had to wait on tech-support multiple issues trying to contact them using their website that company is a joke. Over 30 years of ordering parts from companies dealing with the Panasonic HVAC what is the most revolting and pathetic excuse for a company they’re geared for sales big promotions and they just want distributors to push their product it’s all about making the numbers. The person who force-fed my Panasonic units over 20 pounds of R410 refrigerant. I would like to insert a refrigerant hose down his throat and pump over 20 pounds of refrigerant into him for killing my compressor as punishment.

John Black I have been selling and installing LG MULTI V 5 easy and available parts. Have not had problem with damage on delivery. Reliable and never needs any repairs or service for years. I feel like that old commercial with the Maytag man waiting by his service phone to get called for work. 😂

Where do you buy the tester?

@coldfinger459sub0 2 года назад
I bought it online forgot the name of the distributor that I bought it from . But the brand-name is from a big distributor so it’s very well-known industry but it should be very easy to get. My local HVAC warehouses did not carry it in stock and they had to order it to get it in at almost twice the price, So I just kept searching online and ordered it from somebody who is a lot cheaper than any of my local warehouse HVAC distributors. I’m starting to find out more and more why do I have to keep wasting my time going down to a local warehouse distributor if they have to order the exact same item that I want from them and I still have to wait and pay more and waste my time. The more things I’ve been ordering online I’m getting cheaper without having to waste my time from a local supply house to house to do the same thing quarter it anybody with the IQ of flipping hamburgers that a hamburger joint or taking out garbage can do the exact same thing. So if you hunting up online you’ll find a very good price just keep scrolling down to the next box of options and you will always find the right price that usually half of what your initial search is fine better present it to you through Google or Amazon or eBay Alibaba or alley express.
