It's so fun watching you test gadgets... your surprise when something works, and your disappointment when something doesn't work. The one I like the most is the Grapefruiter. I, like you, do not like peeling grapefruit. The strainer is also kinda neat. The Negg is cool, but for the price and the performance, a mason jar or any similar jar with a lid would work as well. As for the other items, I agree with you on their ratings... not very good. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks.
I’m really baffled as to why rice needs to be drained? 😮 If it’s uncooked and just needs to be washed, then that makes sense. If it’s cooked already… do people still drain it?
rice needs to be washed a couple of times to removed the starch from it, so you you would have to drain it every time you wash the rice. I think that's what she was saying draining the rice. Then after washing the rice a couple of times when the water is clear, you will still have to put water to cook the rice.
You don't need a contraption to help you peel eggs if you steam the eggs instead of boiling it. I don't know why eggs are super easy to peel with the steaming method but I'm guessing that air might have entered through the porous egg shell and allowed the egg to separate from it's membrane.
The spiralizer has been used incorrectly - when you used the sharpener on the carrot, the spiralizer will do carrots and zucchini, given you zoodles, etc. It's not for potato. Additionally, if you cook rice correctly, you don't need to drain it ever - double water to rice and cook it for 10 or so minutes letting the steam cook it off. Hit the top of the egg and use wet hands to peel.
OK so the chopper. I have been using this for years now. its great for chopping onion, capsicum, carrot, cucumber, almonds, oh yeah you can even make dough in this maker. just put lil bit water and flour.
I've used a glass or jar with water in it to peel eggs before and they didn't get mangled like that. I suspect the nubs caused that because smooth glass gave a cleanly peeled egg without chunks falling out
Pomegranate -- i've found from experience that cross sections are mostly on flat sides. Gadget was a flop -- you had to do work for its work. It was a mess, too. You are too generous. That was a fail. Watermelon gadget was a fail and nuisance to store -- it's just a huge bunch of blades! The egg peeler only works for HARD eggs. More delicately boiled eggs would start to break up w/ shells. We put in eggs into boiling water, boil desired # of minutes, immediately rinse w/ cold water to stop cooking, gently crack shells around most of egg over the water, submerge in water, wait a bit (minute?), and then peel in water boiling. Comes out pretty clean and smooth, even when yolk is still soft in the center. Thx for video. ❤
12:00 Why the hell would you chop garlic in a manual food processor? You have garlic presses for that. A food processor like that is for chopping and dicing bigger vegetables, especially onions (like he said). Why would you want to make a product do something it's not designed for and then complain it didn't do a good enough job?
She was testing it with everything to show people what’s best to use in the processor😂there are a lot of people out there who would use it and then complain about how it’s not working how it’s supposed to when it wasn’t meant for it in the first place. But on another note as she said you can use it if you’re using a lot of garlic. I have one and I use it when I’m making a lot and it’s works perfectly. And isn’t tiring
