I can explain the longhorn beetle pun. So, there is a subspecies of cows called longhorns, and a steer is a young male cow that is raised primarily for beef.
In line with this, I can explain the Raja Brooke's: a Maharaja is a Sanskrit title given to higher royalty, like kings, or "great rulers;" hence it being "worth about as much as royalty." And the Mole Cricket "interrogation" clearly stems from a "mole" being an operative agent!
Steering is also a term for directing the cattle herd in particular directions. I'm a Texan, so I never even considered that someone might not know what a Longhorn is lol
It's finally cured my New Horizons burnout. I just happened to start E+ on my Gamecube about a week or two ago, and thus all of my feeds have been flooded with Animal Crossing content lol
it’s the way i SCREAMED at him for the “orange you glad i did” = fruit beetle, “who’s smooth now?” = oak silk moth and “proceeding with interrogation” = mole cricket
Axolotls are types of salamanders, actually. More like a pre - metamorphosis salamander. In the wild, Axolotls never actually metamorphosize into salamanders, but in captivity they will if their water conditions aren’t optimal (something to do with iodine content? idk)
Hey Dagnel, found you recently in my recommendations, and I wanted to say that I adore your personality, the work and care you put in these videos and the love you have for this serie. I never even cared about Animal Crossing, but in less than a week I watched all of your videos and I am now rewatching most of them for how much I loved them. I hope you are enjoying the stuff that you are doing and I hope you get the recognition you deserve for the quality videos that you put out. Thank you and I hope the best for you
Otters and weasels are in the same family (mustelidae) so maybe that’s why they put lottie and lyle in the same category? But they are different species so that’s still weird lol
Isabelle in Italian is called _fuffy_ , Timmy and Tommy are called _mirco_ and _marco_ , it's so frustrating. I don't understand this thing about translating names
its probably to appeal to cultures, in american culture timmy and tommy are common names and since they’re basically twins the names make sense, however in other cultures picking common twin names for their specific cultures would be better than american twin names also the games are originally in japanese so the names have to be translated to english regardless animal crossing makes a lot of cultural changes for the english version of their games so the name changes arent too far off
bruh if this was in my new leaf days, you could name a bug and i could tell you the pun. acnh has erased those memories cos now i know some from nh, some from nl and it all is too much to remember now. anyways, cool video dude. i love dicking around with quizzes too 🤟
Are u gonna be uploading vods here? Because that would be so helpful if u decide to do that, twitch ads are so loud that they scare me when I watch vods over there T_T Either way, can't wait to see what u have going on over here!
For those wondering about why Shrunk can be considered a salamander here is because axolotls look very similar to some baby/tadpole versions of salamanders. Fun fact!
Sonar isn’t necessarily about it being in water, but ships and animals like dolphins are some of the most famous examples of it. Sonar is use of sound that bounces back off objects and to the ear or receiver. Like a bat’s echolocation, which is what it’s inspired by. Doesn’t matter if it’s in water, on land, or in air. A lot of ships, planes, and other things use it to detect other vehicles or people approaching or upcoming obstacles. It can be used to help when it’s dark and hard to see, which is probably why you associated it with seeing in the dark. That’s not the only reason to use it but it is one of the reasons.
The name game for the villagers.. It makes me MAD. The names just dont make sense. In German Isabelle (Isabell is a common name in Germany) is named Melinda (idk anyone who even knows someone with this name and it also doesnt create a pun or something), we got the original name for Judy (Misuzu) but then a lot of the villagers have the most 1800 German names ever. Its confusing me so much. I had to put my switch to english so I'm not confused when trading villagers with other people. Its so unnecessary. They shouldve put names from all over the world in all games. So puns like Isabell could still remain and people wouldnt get so confused.
A longhorn is a steer.. steering. it's corny. Like on that fb group where they explain the answers, bad jokes are hard to get because they're just so cheesy.
You gotta add this channel as one of your other channels on your main channel. Theres like a tab for other channels the creator has and I couldn't find this channel haha
The way you pronounce “char” with a hard “ch” is hilarious to me (my name is Char 😂 it’s pronounced with a soft “sh” sound. Google says so as well, I checked HAHA) This was a gift. Sooo entertaining!! Keep up the great work Dag!! 😁
hi dagnel bestie, i love your content, please put a link to this channel in the descrizzle of your other videos? :) i had a hard time finding this channel
Wardell from the New Horizons DLC is a Manatee true, but in the older games when you would visit dream towns there would a character named Wendell (who was a walrus) walking around showing you the custom designs that people in that town made/had. Sadly he got replaced in New Horizons by the design portal.
Sow is a female boar, pig, or hog, not the type of animal overall. Like how chicken is a kind of bird and roosters, which people often think are different animals, are just male chickens while hens are female chickens. Think of it like if Sow Joan was human she’d also be a woman. Sow is to woman as boar is to human here.
