🤣Just get a silky gomboy or zubat saw. No batteries and probably just as quick. Corona makes some decent ones as well for half the price.

I just carry a hatchet or a Corona folding saw. Corona works on anything 8" and under, I've hatcheted some 12 inch alders. Anything bigger and I'd let the actual trail crews get it in my area, or just come back with my actual chainsaw if it were my trail. I mean, realistically i only encounter downed trees once a year on our trails, unless you're the first one in after snow melt.

Exactly yeah and I've never actually been in a situation where I REALLY needed to get through. It's always been just as easy to turn around.

go with a Milwaukee or Stihl battery powered say wont fail on you like this will after a few uses.

Haha sorry!!! I honestly think if they'd given this thing a little more power, it would be pretty awesome. Sure beats wrecking your arm strength with a manual one, and would be pretty easy to carry!

You need a trailer to pull behind the TW and some studded tires for winter. P.S. How do you like that greenworks saw ?

Haha that would be awesome! I actually studded the tires on both the KLR and the TW and surprisingly the TW didn't do very well. The deep snow made it sort of float, so the studs couldn't get down to the ice which made the going pretty slow. In regards to the Greenworks saw; it's actually way faster than my cheap-o Husky gas saw. However, if you're going to do any serious cutting, the single battery life won't "cut it". I often get a little too ambitious with projects, but it's always running out of "gas" before I do. Honestly though, if I cut wood just a little more often, I'd definitely invest in a second battery so I didn't have to go to my gas saw when my single battery is finished. It is really nice that there's no fuel mixing or plugged carburators though. Just drop in the battery and go! The sound levels are much more pleasant as well.

Ya, studs don't work in deep snow, but they are awesome on ice and frozen ground. I have a single wheel trailer for my bike and it's awesome. Look up Sherpa X@@SwankyCatProductions

I have a big Stihl battery saw (14") blade, but have been considering the small Milwaukee M12 Fuel Hatchet 6" that will run on my M12 battery's as it's small and compact like the cheap one you showed, but much more durable for mounting on my DRZ400.

That would be pretty slick! I'd definitely consider everyday carrying a nice m12. Would be cool for camping too!
