Looks great, but I think if you're fishing with it, if you have a motor, you'd like it to lock you in place. I think a trolling motor is better for my needs, but if you're on a big lake or saltwater, and only need assistance in getting around, a great idea.
$2k more then the original bigwater 132 pdl for a motor drive and lithium battery sounds about right tbh. Especially considering a Hobie drive cost damn near 1k so they gotta make a little profit but. I would just buy the motor and lithium separate and put it in an older big water 132pdl if u had it.
@@SouthJerseyBaitReviews ya it seems spot on but it crushed my dreams a little. I will stick to pedaling for now. Plus never like to buy the first edition, always improvements made after feedback from users
@@SouthJerseyBaitReviewsYou can’t do that. They will not sell just the Edrive. They claim it fits but not wiring or kill switch. Lol. Like thats hard to do. Lame excuse. Just about anybody could wire this. I know I could with ease.
That was a great video and the kayak was awesome. Pricey, but awesome. Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed watching this. As always, #AggressivelyAverageAnglers rocks!!!
I really does look bad ass but damn, $6,000! I know, you get what you pay for it but that's a pretty big hit for about 90% of us lol. If some rich relative I don't know about kicks the bucket and I come into some free cash maybe I'll pick one up lol
First timer. Really enjoyed your video. Maybe a dumb question but... Can you pedal without using any of the battery? Petal only, petal assist and full cruise control?
this is great. would be able to get on the water with that. But that really high price on my disability salary could never afford it.Please make it less expensive
That 36V Battery - 20 Amp in that Kayak ... Is to small for a 2 dayer trip, with out charging , wish that they had a more Amp battery ... But at the speed your use to.... on this e-drive that would be a 2 or 3 , you could be in the sweet zone., for using watts and might get a good range, would be nice if it was bigger at least 40 Amp ... For a quality Battery check out MillerTech Lithium Batteries .I run four of there batteries , ( two in series for 120 Amps for each motor ), On my Tri-Cat 360 uses MillerTech's 36V - 60 Amp Lithium Battery . Those feed the Newports NK300 's, i run a Twin Drive. To bad you can't buy that new Kayak without the battery and add your own.
@@johnkieffer4525 That's what I was thinking would be the case, but since it's also a manually peddle driven boat too, it made it a sort of gray-ish area.
Shiiii! Nice design but has no gps position lock , you cant control precise speed , for example when you want to troll for kokanee at 1-1.5 mph, no blue tooth connection ..... i guess next tear upgrades ... will wait , also ur welcome old town for ideas! Micro speed adjustment ..... get working on it. And you might just get my money.
Nice boat. Nice but extremely overpriced. They say it comes with the battery but believe me you are paying for it at 6K. You can get a decent battery thru LiTime for about $350. It probably better to go with the Autopiot 120 for about.$4,350. And that has spot-lock.
