I use RAW Silica by NPK Industries is a technical grade plant supplement that is used for horticultural purposes. Raw silica contains 45% silicon dioxide, the highest concentration available to the home gardener. This one is a little pricier however a little goes a long way and it works miracles. I have just started using it after mixing with my water the next day my plants perk up it’s crazy. It has not helped with my fungus gnat issue unfortunately.
Love this video! Just in case you didn’t know, silica binds to nutrients and makes them unavailable. So usually they recommend adding silica first, waiting 20 mins and then finishing with the rest of the ferts🤍
Just a bit of feedback, the text box at around 1:20 was very difficult to read with the light text on a light background. Can't wait to hear how the experiment is going!
I believe you have to add Silica first and wait 5-15 minutes before you add anything else to it. Also, not sure if this silica works with tap water since it usually requires a certain ph level
I was with you but I turned it off when i saw you mixing your nutes. No bueno. Can't combine em together like that without h20. Mix em in water first. Your experiment needs a serious "do over!"
Cool video! I can’t wait to see. I am using a foliar spray with silica in it. I just started using. And now I am going to get some liquid for the soil like what you are using! Thank you!
Where do you suggest buying your individual ingredients when you mix your own substrate? I've been wanting to do this (it seems more cost efficient) but I also want to make sure I'm using quality ingredients!
