Another awesome review. The Green Stuff World Chrome is amazing and love the fact it is alcohol based. No toxic fumes and easy clean up. I am painting a life sized Master Yoda and used their Yoda Green acrylic, and it is another great paint. The color is spot on and has just the right sheen.

Man oh man, I've been binging your videos. Made up my mind on the chrome paint after watching this one. Going to try the Green Stuff World airbrush chrome. Going to use it as a base coat for Candy2o emerald green. I did a nova with molotow liquid chrome and candy2o blue and it looks great. But that molotow chrome is so sensitive. Let it cure for 3 weeks and still would dull to the touch. Thanks for all your videos. I've got a ton more to watch.

Thanks for the demonstration! I used the GS Chrome on one of my robots and he turned out amazing! You might try masking part of your spoons with painter's tape to help show the difference when it is really slight or hard to see on camera. Remove the tape and you will see the difference so much easier. Thanks again for all you do!!

The difference between GSW brush on chrome and the airbrush is the brush on uses an acrylic hardener it’s basically like Pledge or Floor Shine clear with the chrome pigment. You don’t want to thin it with IPA like the alcohol based airbrush formula because it will turn the acrylic milky white and you will get white splotchy areas on your surface. You can thin it with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner to airbrush it. Did extensive tests between the two. Think Mr. Color Super Metallic 2 thinned with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner.

I've been using GSW's gold chrome and it's actually pretty good. It's the same shade as Hobbymio's green gold, and it's pretty shiny. You tested it in a previous video, but you went a bit heavy on it - I've been having good results with two passes at most.

Are you finding this chrome paint to have an expiration date? I know the pins do. The liquid breaks down. I just tried a drop of green stuff that I hadn't used in months and it seems to be doing the same. It should be made well known if these paints are going to go bad over time.

The gunmetal effect you got over the flat black may be the effect I'm looking for on a K2SO model (Rogue One). The shiny may be good as Beskar on Mandolorian model.

It's just a super translucent paint like Alclad and it requires dark base for it to show it's true form.

Hi been find your videos very intresting with great and useful info and you may be able to help me, what would you protect the Green stuff world chrome with? It looses its mirrored look upon touch and every model varnish ive tried hads ruined it too, i was thinking of getting the alclad aqua coat would you mind test it on the GSW Chrome? it would be really helpful, also is the aqua coat suitable to brush on also as im using the chrome on small intricate parts that are too small to airbrush, thanks

Looks great. Can you do another normal v thinned test but do a set number of passes of each so that we can see how close the results are. Like if it needs 10 passes for the normal to get X result but requires 20 passes of thinned then its not worth thinning, but if its 10 passes of normal viscosity for x result versus 12 passes of thinned then it is worth the thinning

Does the Green Stuff Airbrush chrome come out as mirror finish like the brush on you showed in a previous video? Also how does it hold up to being handles vs the Molotow chrome. alclad is sold as "hr hobbies" in the uk since their "alclad" trademark ran out here, and "mig a-stand" in europe (it's the same stuff from the same factory in england, it's just distributed by mig). you should be able to get it in any good hobby store (at least online, physical stores always seem to have limited variety in my experience). super-hobby almost always has it in stock if you can't find it elsewhere but you have to wait a while because they ship from poland and poland's postal service is slow as fuck

@@jimbimanim hey, thanks for the amazing reply! i looked around a bit and couldn't find much of them anywhere in my usual online stores, the above mentioned one was labeled alclad II. so checked out super-hobby, and yup alclad II it is, but they were all out of the fun metal colours, also seems somewhat pricey. might just stick with the GSW things xD either way, thanks again for your reply, added super-hobby to my list..now just to find a place that imports gaianotes and mr colour crystals...:D apparently: ammo a-stand by mig is their new name, whew

@@barbatosrex9473 already tested, I can use Tamiya enamel paint on top the alcohol based chrome for chrome protection. However, to do candy paint by using alcohol based chrome and any enamel clear color, You have to top coat it with water based coat (I use alclad aqua gross) for stronger paint result :)
