My Setup: Canon R6 Mark II + RF 70-200 F2.8.
Hi guys! I was outside testing the Canon R6 Mark II for street photography and in this video you can come with me and see the shots I was able to get with this camera. Hope you enjoy this video and learn something about the R6 Mark II from it! As always, leave your questions in the comments.

Nice video bro, ive got the exact same set up as you, R6 cam A and R as my B cam. Btw how do you judge what shutterspeed to select when you shoot? It seems as though you make the shutterspeed higher the further the moving subject is - is that the case?

Thank you!! 🫶🏻 No, basically I first choose the aperture for the look I want my photos to have, then with the Shutterspeed and Iso I try to get the exposure right. Because I’m shooting with the 70-200, I try to keep the shutterspeed above 1/400s according to the “double the focal length” rule and then adjust it between that and 1/8000s according to the exposure and what the histogram says. I often make adjustments very fast to set the exposure right, in order to not miss the shot, and so I’m not really looking at what exact number the Shutterspeed is, as long as it’s on that range and the exposure is right.

So I was thinking about choosing between canon r6 mark2 canon r8 and canon r7 I do videography, I can low-key invest in one of them cameras with my budget, I just don’t know which one to invest in honestly, I shoot a lot of sports video and portrait “hybrid shooter” I would love the extra reach on the r7, the r8 is $1000 less then r6 mark 2 with low key the same future, and the r6 mark 2 check off all the boxes I need in a camera + plus I can keep growing with that camera in the next few years inshalla but at the cost of $2500, I’m really going back and forth at this point what’s your opinion?

Well ultimately the decision is yours to make, but from what you’re saying about the r6 II, that’s the camera I would go with. The compromises of the R8 (no joystick, small batteries, 1 card slot, slower shooting speeds) or the cropped sensor of the R7 will make a difference in the long run and you‘ll start wishing you got the camera you wanted. At least that‘s how it goes for me and that‘s why I always try to go with the best camera. If I can‘t afford it, I just wait until I can.
