I have had this cot for a number of years and am quite happy with it. It is a little cumbersome to set up until you get the hang of it but once you do its a great thing to have for a superior night's sleep. One of the things I like the most is the 30- inch width which means that your arms are not hanging off like they do in a narrower cot. I use mine in a two man tent and I recommend placing a tarp under the cot feet so the pressure on a lightweight camping tent floor will not be as severe.
You should add weights on it and leave it for a week or couple of weeks to see if there is any ripping or tearing. I’ve bought many things from Amazon and they look nice but after a week or two of heavy use they start to break badly.
It’s been setup pretty much since I got it. Sitting on it and a few nights of weight on it. It’s been thrown around my garage for weeks and so far so good. I didn’t expect much for $50 but so far it’s doing the job.
I wonder if you could put a thin metal sleeve on the ends of the legs to make them fit better. I think that movement is going to wear on the whole and get a lot worse over time.
Tie some cordage to each of the end legs where the V-notch is and cinch until both cant towards the centre, do not tighten excessively. I think this will cure the rocking motion.
