Testing the DeWalt Compact Jobsite Blower 20V: How POWERFUL is it?

I live it. Very powerful little thing. I do use it on my yard too as well as cleaning back of my truck or saw dusted tools.

I have one also and I love it. Definitely beats hooking a air hose up. My kids love it also. They use it to blow leaves while I use my Dewalt leaf blower.

I just bought the non USA version, the DCV100. Only received it today and just picked it up from where Royal Mail left it in my back garden while we were out today. Initial impressions are good but won't get a chance to test it properly for a week or so as we mowed our lawns yesterday. Not sure that it's going to cope with wet oak leaves that get dumped on both front and back lawns from three large oaks next to our house each autumn. Might invest in something mains powered for that later in the year. I hope you are able to give your petrol lawn mower something more challenging than that strip of grass between you and your neighbour. For that small patch I would use and electric mower with a grass collection box.

Thanks for the review. I use these little blowers to get water of crevices after washing a vehicle. I was looking to go cordless and I already have numerous Dewalt 20v tools. Looks like I'll be adding this one really soon. 😎

Saw this today at Lowe's... figured it was good for small clean up jobs but no clue it was good enough for what you were able to do

The blower is awesome. What you need is a mulch blade on your push mower and you will have very little clippings to blow off your driveway.

I've been thinking about getting one. I just wish there was another extension or the other two were about 8" longer each.

Would be great for drying a car, blowing out the garage, etc. Tempted. I have a backpack EGO battery blower (intense) for big jobs.

Great little blower: Does the job nicely. A grass box on your mower would have done the same job and saved you money and time!!

Oh man that thing gave me a headache just listening to it. Is it really that loud and shrill? Has it broken in and got quieter over time? I'd like to get one, but that noise is rough.

I own two of these DeWalt blowers. #1 worked great for about 4 years. Then it would only run for 2-3 seconds, then quit. Purchased new batteries, same problem. Purchased blower #2 (Feburary 2022), worked for a week, then same (run for 2-3 seconds, then quits). Suspect theres a DeWalt factory defect in these. Gonna be expensive to send into DeWalt. Too bad, because this is one nice little blower!

Need to hit those cracks in the driveway with some Roundup. I have the same blower, works great and lasts forever wih the 6ah battery.

Clearly a left-handed design. I've used my gas blower a few times left handed and it sucks to my shirt every time.

Everytime I pull the trigger, it will operate properly for only a split second and then its cuts out. Now i have to find my receipt to get it repaired (not replaced) by dewalt under the 3 yr warranty in australia.

I bought and RETURNED THE: DEWALT 125 MPH 450 CFM 20V MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless Brushless Blower with (1) 5.0Ah Battery and Charger Included. It's the chunkier style one, not jobsite with long tube-like blower attachment in this video. Not Recommended/ I took it back. IT WAS Very WEAK in power & performance. 👎 That's why I'm here looking at this JOBSITE type. Similar specs. I have the 20 volt trimmer, battery & charger which is pretty good, I like it. So I just need the blower. Jobsite one would workout. Since I have the 20 volt charger and battery from my trimmer, do I have to stick with that voltage on a new blower in order to use the "Charger and Battery" from my DeWalt trimmer? I'm thinking yes but I just wonder. Thinking about buying this blower without the battery and charger cuz I already have borh.

Failed to mention how the extension does not stay locked into the slot!

Remove the grass. It's not worth being there. Plant Hosta, ground cover, some pollinator plants and be done with it forever. Even use a 'real' landscape fabric under mulch with the plants if need be.

Maybe invest in some weed and feed and a weed trimmer
