You'll want to be careful with it. It's a relatively delicate camera. Much of the hike it was simply in the front pocket of my joggers/pants without a problem. When I did take it out to film, I had the extendable grip attached, which makes it easier to hold in your hand.

Yes, there is some. I noticed that correction in Final Cut Pro wasn't that useful for the up-and-down motions from walking. Overall, I didn't find it too distracting but the easiest solution is to be more careful with how you walk. You can find videos on RU-vid about how to walk with a gimbal for stable footage. But again, I didn't see too much downside of just walking naturally. Either way, I still think this is a great camera and I love the stabilization on it.

I generally shoot with 4k at 30 fps. Bear in mind that, in bright environments, if your frame rate is something like 30 fps you will be incredibly over-exposed if you try to adhere to the cinema rule of doubling your frame rate (which, in this case would be 1/60). You would therefore be using a shutter speed way higher than 1/60 and the motion blur would look less than ideal (wasn't a big deal for me). If you're concerned about this, simply get some third-party neutral density filters when you buy the camera. I am thinking about doing this too (because I am going to take the camera to Bali and there will be the ocean and waterfalls and that type of stuff) but I haven't done so yet.

hey! No, you don't necessarily need any. You would if you want to make sure you adhere to the "shutter speed should be double your frame rate" rule. I've been meaning to get ND filters because, when in bright light, the shutter speed is way over 1/50 (shooting at 24 fps) and you have no control over the aperture; however, I've still been content with the look of the video at those higher shutter speeds. Since I'm not trying to be super cinematic, it's not a huge issue for me mostly.

Hey thanks! So I’ve been running everything on Auto and I think the quality looks fantastic. I was going to put everything on Manual but I realized that the aperture is fixed, so on bright days it can be impossible to get a typical 1/50 shutter speed (based on shooting in 24 fps), unless you buy additional neutral density filters. I may do that in the future but it would be one more thing to attach before I can start recording, which would be a pain point, plus the footage looks good already. We’ll see. Do you have this camera too?

Oh but the things I could still select were as follows: 4k at 30fps and the gimbal was (mostly) on Follow mode. Everything else was auto or normal (as in color profile)

Yeah, honestly, I started shooting Dlog (and I will probably experiment with it some more) But I changed it to default when I was trying to get some quick vertical footage for TikTok and RU-vid shorts and I thought the results looked really good, could still have some post production done in final cut, and didn’t necessarily need to be in Dlog. I’m eager to compare how much different the dynamic range could be when shooting in Dlog compared to default settings.
