Snap that Cadillac up bro! Luxury race car! It would have my name on it! I'm a fan of the V though. My dream car is a CTS-V gen 2 coupe, with the black diamond paint. They're absolutely nasty with just $5000. Headers, ported blower, ported heads, pulley swap, and a tune. Few little extras in between obviously, but you're killing most that will pull up and test you anyway. The V is an absolute beast. Corvette in a suit.
Gorgeous machine. Had a first gen CTS-V and loved it. You'll need to hook up a heck of a lot better than it does now before you take on a Demon at a track- those do about 1.4 secs in the first 60 feet. Love to see it at the track. Thanks for sharing!
A Demon on street tires will spin that much or more on that old asphalt road, put them both on the track with slicks, that Caddy is still lighter and has hundreds more horsepower, that should more than make up for the lack of a line lock. Those cars always showed phenomenal traction when they were tested.
yea that’s probably true. However I hate everyone compares their fully built cars to hellcats and demons. Like get a built hellcat motor with bigger super charger then compare. lol.

You have to launch high powered V's in second gear. 1st gear is useless after 650hp. If you are on that 15" on the rear 1st gear is probably there for a hard 1st gear launch. Nice video!
Depends on how the transmissions gears ratios are tuned. It sounds like it has pretty long lower gears hints to why it probably drives like a boat. I'd wonder if it has different drive modes for different driving situations.
@@vanovatrio In the V3 it is possible, I believe they have 4 different driving modes, (Touring, Sport, Track and I think Eco) In every mode (with HPtuners) you can change the way the car shifts, fuel delivery, spark, redline, ect. You can ramp in power quick, change shift points as needed. I have a V2 (Auto trans) and only have two modes, in my "touring mode" the car drives smooth, shift points are soft and actually drives like a Cadillac. In "sport mode" the car completely changes, throttle is much more snappier, shifts are super violent, redline is much higher, exhaust pops and bangs. Granted my V is tuned so it can do those things. As for tire spin, my tuner adjusted my boost solenoid to ramp in the boost based on RPM. But again, even with NT55r2 tires it's hard to catch traction in 1st gear Second gear dead hooks. On a 15" rear, my 1st gear would dead hook.

the CTS-V is my favorite domestic battlecruiser bone stock off the lot, this is a level of "fuck it, we'll do it live!" that can't be appreciated enough. when petrol cars are phased out for general consumer use, I'm gonna miss cam lope exhaust burbles a LOT.
A CTS-V with this build has to be more expensive than a demon. Even if you buy used with 30k miles. So yes, sicker than a demon but not cheaper. What an incredible combination though, thanks for the video!
Not with that much wheel spin. The chassis of a Demon is setup for weight transfer and grip. This is nothing of the sort. It's a testament to dick waving and nothing more. The Demon will still take this in a quarter mile because this will never hook up.

I love how the stock demon was the target... the caddie was 102,000 on factory settings . Do we even want to talk about the price tag after upgrades so it could compete with a car that was truly designed for fun on the streets and could run decent track times with no mods on race gas??? Pros: The engine build is a gaw'damn masterpiece! Cons: Building a RWD car with 1,400 hp is suicidal, & impossible to intelligently/safely handle...anywhere. (needs AWD) In summary: GAW'DAMN MASTERPIECE!!!

me driving "normal" in this car, gets 13 - 15 mpg also me accelerating every now and again, gets me 3 to 4 mpg. RIP me im stranded now at a ditch or back alley somewhere, But BTH ITS WORTH!!!!!!

My dream car is a CTS-V. I can afford a CTS right now but I won't do it because I know myself better than that. There's nothing wrong with the CTS it's a perfectly fine car but I'll hate every day of it because I want the v.
I had 2 CTSs. My last one was a 2004 with all the options. Both had electrical issues(throttle body, CPU etc...) I spent couple grand on electrical issues all revolving around the CPU. Still mad thinking about it

would never beat a demon. demons are purpose built drag machines. you can take a 1000 h0 hellcat and a demon would still eat its lunch. unless you've ran one before you wouldn't know. plus you can do about 1AM grand worth of mods to a demon and it would be insane.

A demon cost 150k you tripping lol you not buying nobody’s demon for 84k new or used you barely get a new hellcat for 84k. Dealerships didn’t even sell demons for msrp 😂. You can put 10k in a stock ctsv and make it 900hp easy you’ll be stomping demons your forgetting demons weigh almost 1,000 lbs heavier than a ctsv. So now that a demon is 150k new or used and you can buy a ctsv3 for 60-80k used add $45k and still save money rather than buying a heavy ass demon.
