Testing the Roedix R7 RPM Against the Claim of the 100,000 rpm Description specs from Roedix

This video is due to a request in the comments about the Roedix R7 that I reviewed. The question was to test (if I could), the RPM of this blower, as the description stated that it did 100,000 rpm and there was a question to it’s legitimacy. I after a lot of trial and error, did find a way to test the RPM without damaging the Roedix, so decided to create a video showing my results.

I do a lot with slower stuff. $, -15 rpm, and at times 30 rpm. How does your test equipment work on slower rpm's?

I haven't used for slower speeds, but I guess I will have to test that, but I don't have anything that rotates at a slow speed for testing. I guess I will have to look into getting maybe a stepper motor and connecting it to my power supply to see how low they will register rpm

Buzz, I just thought I would say that I was like wait a minute, I have a drill so why now try that LOL... I was able to get a reading with the Neiko down to 34 rpm, but the Smart Sensor didn't seem to go below 100 which actually is exactly what they claim, but was just hoping since it went way above 30,000 rpm, maybe it would go way below 100 rpm, but I guess not.

Oh my goodness.... I can't believe what I just did... I got out my turn table for displaying objects to rotate them slowly. I decided to just sit there for a few turns to see if the Neiko would register anything. After about 4 turns of the table - - - the Neiko showed 2.5 rpm on the display - OMG I can't believe it registered that slow of an rpm - Incredible. Glad you asked the question, that was interesting to test how low the Neiko would go...
