I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. I am a daughter, a girlfriend, a sister, a friend, a cousin, a grand daughter & more. Tiffany, you’re so kind, thinking of others. I still remember one of my first visits to the hematologist/oncologist. Sitting in the waiting room, filling out forms. Tears running down my face. I really tried to keep anyone from seeing me. One woman handed me a box of tissues and another women sat down beside me and just talked quietly to me, reassuring me. I’ll always remember that. Kindness is so simple and so powerful. 💙We💙Got💙This💙

If you go to Ireland before another video, let me wish you and Matt a lovely visit. I lived in Ireland for 16 years and tried to travel around to see many different parts. My favourite is Connemara but there are many places there so lovely. Glad you are getting to travel and do things you want. You have worked hard to recover and you deserve lovely times. I volunteer in the wig salon at a private hospital in Geelong Australia, I started not because I have had cancer but a major car accident which I lost my hair because body was just trying to live, it is so rewarding going back to hospital and giving back 💙

I think your idea of taking Easter eggs to the workers is such a great thing. My husband had a chemo treatment on Valentines day and I got him cute boxes of See's Candy to give to the nurses. It made him happy he could show his appreciation for them and they were so excited!!! We Got This 💙

If you know your going to travel and worried with the toilet side of things, start to take the diarrhoea meds the day before. When I know I've to go hospital for my treatment I do this as it can take time to work. Xx

@@esbliss, the CA 19-9 is the antigen test for pancreatic cancer. CA 125 is an antigen test for ovarian cancer. Items that can cause levels to rise but aren’t cancerous are liver disease, endometriosis, pregnancy, menstruation,uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease. Rising levels are associated with reoccurrence of ovarian cancer. It mainly is to monitor reoccurrence of ovarian, endometrial,peritoneal or fallopian tube cancers. If you’re a survivor of pancreatic cancer my heart and prayers are with you that you caught it early enough and that you’re able to stay in remission. One of my former veterinarians when she retired from practice was diagnosed one week later. She passed away a mere 7 months after being diagnosed. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Your in remission, cancer free is being in remission for 5 yrs, I am in remisson now for 5 yrs my doctor said my cancer will probably not return. I also take loperamide because I had colon cancer and had some of my colon taken out (no stoma) so I get diarrhea a lot and they really work good luck

Just an idea for one of the future vlogs- your journey so far: how you feel overall, smthng about pain management: are u still taking pain killers, if not when did you stop, what"s ur other therapy, how"s ur daily routine nowadays going compared to the days when u got out of the hospital and generally all this physical stuff in relation to ur journey to recovery.

I am prone to cold sores - they’re awful. Here in the States there is a product, Abreva, that is a miracle in a tube. It’s a cream that you apply at the first sign of a cold sore, the tingling as you referred to it. Please check at your pharmacy, I promise you’ll love it. You and Matt have a wonderful time in Ireland - you’re both so deserving. ❤️

For Ireland weather the best is to dress like an onion. So you can add or remove layers easily as the weather can be changeable. Also a light raincoat and if you struggle with wind and pain in your ears something to cover them.

Be careful with the mushrooms, Tiffany!! They looked delicious, but I winced because they often cause small bowel obstructions in patients with ostomies! It's no fun going to the ER in agony and spending a week in hospital until the obstruction clears! (I just got out of the hospital yesterday with a sbo, so I wanted to warn you! ) We want you to be healthy and enjoying your trip with Matt -- not spending it in an Irish hospital! ☺

So glad to see you healthier and doing much better, looks like you’re well on your way to a full recovery. Everyone is all bundled up and it looks so cold when I’m here in Texas and it’s supposed to get up to 87 degrees F. here in March. Although I will say the weekend before last it was snowing quite a bit and in the 20’s F. I’m so happy you and your mom are out having a good time together again, you all seem like such a sweet family. I went out to visit my mom and spent the day with her yesterday but she was worried and sad because I have stage 4 cancer and my last chemo treatment didn’t work and I had masses that have grown during chemo. I did an endoscopic ultrasound guided biopsy on the masses around my pancreas Tuesday to find out more of what type of cancer it is and will find out what our next step is Friday the 31st of March. I’m still quite optimistic because eight years ago I survived metastatic stage 4 colorectal cancer when the prognosis looked pretty grim. I survived and didn’t have to wear a permanent ostomy bag just a temporary ileostomy bag. I went back to school to become an emergency medic so that I could help others until my newest cancer diagnosis then I had to stop. I have been praying for you! ❤️

I love Primark leggings. I live in Australia but we were visiting our daughter who lives in London and I stocked up on them as the price was amazing. They are warm and comfy. I also had a stoma and a bag several years ago now, thankfully only for about 6 months, and I never had anything solid or even semi solid in my bag. My biggest issue was when I overdid drinking liquids and the bag would overfill. It was very weird not pooping for 6 months 😳

Sweetheart, I get cold sores too, all my life, since childhood. Citrus - oranges particularly - can be triggers for cold sores, as can chocolate, peanuts, some nuts, too much sugar, inadequate sleep, and stress obviously. Maybe omit oranges from your juices for a while? You still have the benefit from lemons - which is not a trigger, usually - and so many other fruits. I put fresh aloe juice on my cold sores, and I take a lot of L-Lysine too.

Your diet is only for 6 months like that for your insides to heal. I just learned, I should have done the same for my pancreas surgery, but the surgeons did not tell me. Sticking with it for the time I was at my oncological rehab, showed me, how upset my system still was. And how much difference it made to get a rest. You will find a groove for everything, I am sure. Enjoy the family time and get rest, and quality time with your favourite people.

Your stoma nurse should have a handout of the have and have-nots relating to foods. Also, keep marshmallows on hand. They work great in a pinch to slow output.

Yes... What most people without a stoma don't realize is how all the foods we are TAUGHT to be "healthy" definitely DON'T WORK when you have a bag. Fresh fruit & vegetables wreck havoc with it.... Spicy foods... Whole grains... Nuts.. all will cause trouble!! And what DOES work? White foods, and starches... White rice, white bread, potatoes, salty snacks (crisps/potato chips)I had a stoma for 6 months (later reversed), and I absolutely CRAVED a nice crisp salad the entire time, but learned from experience (the hard way) that it just wasn't worth it to have to deal with a huge output mess afterwards. I just had to bring this up, as I've seen so many people criticize & offer Tiff advice on her food choices. 💙💙💙😊😊 Tiffany... Have a blast in Ireland & keep the camera tucked away.... Just enjoy the experience with Matt's family & be fully present. You can tell us all about it verbally, later... On a "Tea with Tiffany" episode. Have fun!

I sometimes dream about the fish in chips in the pubs over in Ireland. I haven't found anywhere in my State that matches the goodness. Maybe in NYC where the food is always amazing, I can find an Irish pub. Enjoy Matt and his family on your trip. I kind of hope you'll be able to do some vlogging. Show us some beautiful areas. A good change from the hospital 😊

i take lysine capsules for cold sores, ebv and cytomegalovirus....1000 mgs per day 500 in the am amd 500 in the pm on empty stomach usually this prevents them I triple the dose if i feel the tingle

This reminds me of my first time traveling with my illestomy. Oh, by the way, have you given your stoma a name yet? Believe it or not, a lot of people name their stoma...my stoma's name is Gio..lol Anyway, I now have have a little carry case with enough supplies for 4 changes..or more if I'm gone longer. It's perfect, it has side pouches for the little stuff too. I think coloplast has one you can purchase. I love it! Wishing you both a good time filled with family love! Peace and Love
