Totally trendy is one of the only things that makes me feel at home. I’m studying abroad and homesick and this is helping because I want to try these at home. Thanks Sam! ❤️
Sam, I just love your style. I love how you do your hair, I love your clothes (your pants specifically) and your earrings! Don’t get me started on your personality! You are amazing! A role model for sure!! 😆😁❤️🥰 Edit: Connor is funny as well... and Woodland.. ❤️
@@emmaf7021 a steak other than a patty? Sam outta spend a week in a hotel with me 😂 she would learn all kinds of ways to make food. I normally eat better on the road than at home and I don't even have a stove or oven.
Sous-vide is a method of cooking in which food is placed in a plastic pouch or a glass jar and cooked in a water bath for longer than usual cooking times at an accurately regulated temperature. The temperature is much lower than usually used for cooking, typically around 55 to 60 °C for meat, higher for vegetables.
I think Totally Trendy needs more attention because I feel it has so much potential. Like Sam is super duper funny, sassy, gorgeous, and she has great personality. Her content is just kinda different than other youtubers. She deserves MORE SUBS!!! And VIEWS!❤️ She needs to get more credit. U keep on slaying gurl.
Crazy to watch this a month or so after you uploaded it and to no longer have Grant with us. Love the videos Sam - keep up the great work! You look fantastic in this video :)
I've used the egg/omelet hack when camping before, and it's very handy, just to have a nice and easy warm meal. But, when I do it, I pull the egg out of the water periodically every few minutes and hit the bag against something to scramble them, and I find that much more appealing to eat than just a block of egg.
THANK YOU!!! Finally somebody intelligent!! Ziploc has even said not to use bags that way and people are still stupid enough to assume it must be fine since they don't melt and they can't taste any chemicals. Now a bunch of kids will do it cause Sam did it =/
I actually used to do the eggs in a bag method back when I was in Boy Scouts. It's been about 10 years since I did one, but we use to do that method so that we had less to clean up on campouts.
That egg hack is technically a simplified version of sous vide cooking. And the plastic is okay to let hit the bottom of the pot. Those bags hold hot food and don't melt so boiling water should be okay.
We did the ziploc omelette hack while camping 10 years ago. You scramble the eggs before tossing it in the bag and the other ingredients help keep it fluffy.
Mmmm fooood. Love your videos Sam, keep it up!! Also, could you bug woods about his blogging channel please? I know some of us are wondering if he'll ever post again. K, thank you byeee
We've been cooking omelets in a bag for over 10 years now. Works everytime for us. Great for when you have guests. Everyone can make their own and put several bags in the pot at once.
The one cooking hack that stands out the most is from the movie “Benny and June” where Johnny Deeps character cooks a grilled cheese with an iron........ you should do that
I've done the omelet one when I went camping. Its a lot better when you do eggs, milk and whatever you want in it. You can let it drop and it will form on the bottom without issue. That was a really big bag too haha.
It's pretty well known that you shouldn't do that and that Ziploc has literally made statements that their bags shouldn't be used for that purpose! Common sense.
Just a tip the egg one is great for making breakfast burritos because if you add all the ingredients beforehand when it’s done cooking it’s already in a perfect burrito shape
I use the egg in boiling water hack when we are camping and have a lot of people. You get a huge pot and it works really well. But you have to add ingredients to it to make it better!!
DON'T DO THAT. Ziploc has even stated that people shouldn't do that because people have been asking them for decades if it's safe. The softening point of the plastic is well below boiling and you can't just assume nothing is getting in your food simply cause the plastic doesn't melt!
I have done the egg one before when I went camping and they turned out a lot better than yours. Next time use a smaller bag, put the full bag in the water, and don’t put it in for as long of time as you did and the eggs will turn out nice and fluffy. Watch Heath Hussars video on it he knows how to do it right
DO NOT BOIL FOOD IN BAGS!!!!! Ziploc has literally stated that their products should not be used for this! The plastic has a softening point of 195 degrees, which is below boiling point. Just because the bag isn't melting doesnt mean your food isn't contaminated! I cannot believe that people still need this explained to them!
Lmao I use the omelet one all the time when I go camping and it works just fine for me. It's just easier to cook multiple at a time and the plastic bag keeps it a little more sanitary I think rather than a normal cooking method would in an open campground
You've got to be careful with heating plastic, not because of melting but leeching chemicals from the plastic. They make heat safe plastic for things like a sous vide that are a bit safer than your standard ziplock branded bag.
I have done the omlet one. and it works!!! Sam first off with the egg one. you need a bigger pot and second of all you just need to drop it in. 3rd put milk in it and you'll be fine!!! and last of all it's for camping
Quicker, easier way to do a quick egg. Instead of a plastic bag, get yourself a microwave safe container, grease it a bit, and crack your eggs into it (I find it works well if the eggs are about half an inch deep, so smaller round containers are good). Scramble them up (make sure you break the yolks) add your other ingredients, and pop it in the microwave for about 1 minute. If it's still a little runny, do another 20-30 seconds. And presto, you have a super quick egg patty.
Did you really just ask if pizza made with a waffle would taste like regular pizza??? Cause that is an extremely strange question that leads me to believe that you must never have had waffles. No, it obviously wouldn't taste the same.
