The dermalogica repair cream is absolutely amazing. I've been using it for over 3 weeks now and it really does break the cycle of sensitive skin. I've tried every barrier cream there is and this one is definitely unique. Feels so rich and luxurious too. Highly recommend for all my sensitive skin friends especially if you're dealing with constant redness and irritation from retinols etc.

Great video! In addition to the Dr. Sam’s products I use, I quite like the Uriage Bariéderm Insulating Repair Cream. It’s got a protective feel on the skin without feeling heavy and blends in nicely. Good for winter and has never broken me out (hypersensitive and combo skin here).

Thanks so much for the recommendations! I've been using my prescription tretinoin 0.05% three nights a week for nearly eight weeks and still get some pretty bad peeling around my nose. I think I'll pick up a tube of the cicalfate at my pharmacy 💖

I swear by La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm! It's the only thing that helped during my tret purge. 2 years later and I still use it as my nighttime moisturizer 😊

That's what I use every morning (lotion) and night (cream). Better than Cerave, which can sting. Swapped to Cerave for over a year and once finished, went back to QV. Also use QV gentle wash, with Cerave oil cleanser, for double cleanse. Very happy with this routine, with tret and azclear.

For those in Australia we have QV Face and QV Ceramides……absolutely gold inexpensive and available at every pharmacy, my dermatologist put me onto these products when I had a destroyed skin barrier from actives.

I love the La Roche Posay cicaplast baume cream to repair and soothe my skin when it is not in a good state and I can apply a small amount during the day, but it is a little heavy, even though I have dry skin. Thank you Dr. Sam and greetings from Chile 😘

The Cicalfate is incredible for restoring the skin barrier because of the zinc oxide which is essential for keratin formation, whereas cicaplast has zinc sulfate which is less effective than zinc oxide at healing but good nonetheless

Thank you for the informative video, Dr. Sam. I've been using the Ordinary Barrier Support Serum in the following way: I find it to be very sticky, but I have a routine in the morning that I call "giving my face a drink of water". Basically, I rinse my face, slather it with water, then slather it with a hydrating hyaluronic acid toner. For the past 6 weeks or so, I've added a generous amount of the Ordinary barrier serum after that, and then let all that sit on my face for about 30-40 minutes before rinsing gently and moving on to the other skincare, sunscreen, and makeup for the day. I've noticed that my skin is looking more radiant, even-toned, and I've only had 1 pimple appear in all that time, so I think it is working to support/strengthen my barrier and reduce inflammation. That's my experience.

We use them in our bestselling Flawless Cleanser, which is super-gentle so shouldn’t cause concern for most people, even those with sensitive skin. If you’ve spotted a pattern with your skin and an ingredient, by all means exercise caution.

Have you tried the probio-cica line of skin1004? It really made such a big difference for my sensetive/rossacea skin, currently got on tretinoin , so it really helps suite/ repairs my barrier

We would say that while your Rosacea is active, it's wise to not introduce any new products. Many of our customers who sufferer from Rosacea have given positive feedback to Dr Sam's products, though due to the nature of Rosacea we cannot make assurances this will suit you personally. We'd advise you to discuss this with your doctor.

Try La Rosche Posay Toleriane cleanser. Use a centella asiatica toner and Madagascan centella ampoule. Followed by a good moisturiser containing niacinamide. Not too many ingredients as the actives often work against each other. I follow up with ETC's centella which is an oil.

@wendylee632 I'll give it ago but I think I need to see a dermatology but it's very expensive I need a treatment for it ? I have all the above already use all the calming ingredients but I still have redness on cheeks but I wanted a treatment? Azalic acid is awful so I don't know wats hood for erythematotelangiectatic rosacea wat treatment is they for that? It's redness om the cheeks and I get just more red and blushing and erthema

Hi, if you are suggesting that people buy your product I think you should make it very clear that it’s your brand! I think just saying “the flawless …” is very disingenuous because if someone isn’t looking at the bottle close up, they won’t realize that you are promoting your own product. I don’t think self promotion is bad, especially if you believe in your formulation, but you should make it more clear so your audience is aware. =)
