I use a straightening brush sometimes and my hair is (70cm), healthy, and wavy with lots of random kinks in the individual hairs. I get a decent result much quicker than with a normal flat iron, probably because it separates it into smaller sections for you, so it definitely works on longer hair too : )

I have a different brand of the one that sucks up your hair, and I completely love it! I’m an idiot when it comes to most hair tools and techniques, and that curler was super easy to use on my first try and is the only curler I will use due to my intense fear of burning myself. I will say that the heat setting and the section size makes all the difference. I have really long hair and a lot of it, and it usually only takes me 15 to 20 minutes to curl my whole head with it.

Ive perfected my use of the Miracurl now 🤣 and I seriously love it. For someone that sucks at hair curling, its a lifesaver. Two things...I find you need to release the curl really slowly, it holds much better that way. Also I find small sections are key. In terms of the direction buttons, mine are labelled L, R, A - left, right, alternate. You use the L on the left side of your head, the R on the right side. Or A for a less uniform look. Oh also I start a good few inches from my head, but I have long hair.

I have a curly haired friend that loves the Amika straightening brush is able to bump under her ends. Once the hair is mostly straight, she puts the brush in from the underside of her hair, holding the ends of the hair section taute, and wrapps it 90° around the brush where she wants the bend to start. (Similar to curling ends with a flat iron.) She'd also say to take multiple passes, some of which in an upward direction to keep some if the volume. Good luck curly ladies!

@genevieveve
@genevieveve 5 лет назад
I was given the cinq wand after a friend decided she didn't have much use for it. I will say that I tried all of the attachments and really only use one or two of them. Also, in my opinion, definitely not worth the money. I think it is comparable to any of the 3-in-1 or 5-in-1 appliances I can find on Amazon or at Marshall's. If you are someone who really wants to do different styles of curls (that somehow all end up looking somewhat similar anyway...) this might be something you would get useful options from, but I don't understand how they can possibly justify the price. Hope that helps you. In my opinion, if you have hundreds of dollars kicking around, go for it. If you don't, you can get the exact same thing elsewhere for 60$.

With the BaByliss, the desired curl level is based on the number of seconds you need to hold your hair in the device. This countdown is indicated by the beeping sound. You wait until the three fast beeps and then release. Always make sure the arrows on the machine are pointing up to the sky or toward the root of your hair. Better/tighter curls will be obtained with smaller sections of hair. I use a texture/curl spray before I use the machine. Also I have to say that the curls last a REALLY long time. Honestly, I know you didn’t like it, but once you get the hang of it, and once you figure out what levels to set for your hair, this is an AMAZING product. I miss the heck out of mine (was stolen from my apartment while we were in the process of moving....along with half my belongings), so if you decide you don’t want yours, please send it my way!

I have so much volume, and I hate it so bad. I have curly hair and i WISH I had wavy hair. When I was little I was always so mad at my hair cuz it was sooo big and frizzy. But I have a method to curl my hair without heat and I never saw someone doing it. If someone asks, i can say it. I don’t think that this will work for everybody’s hair. I use this to make my hair more flat😁

I wish you could try some of these with natural hair like the Amika brush since Hannah's hair is curly but not like "natural hair". I really enjoy your content but my dad is black I have really thick coarse hair so it would be cool to see techniques for my type of hair too. Like the Voloom is how my roots already look if I sweat at all lol so it is cool to see since I enjoy your personality but it would be nice to see you apply your techniques to other types of hair. Hopefully this comes off as well intentioned feedback since I'll keep watching even if the majority is not applicable to me because I really like you as a person and have been watching you since before you even moved to LA 😊

Almost forgot to mention, you should really try the TopStyler by Instyler. I will never be able to recommend that product enough, it is freaking amazing, and you can get it for around $30 now (it used to be over $100 when it first came out).

Girl I NEED the Vloom in my life. I think it would help with keeping my clip in extensions from sliding, and maybe help hide the clips

from a gal with thick curly hair: do yourself a favor and get a straightening brush. It takes me 30m to straighten my hair vs 1.5 hours. Spend that time getting your makeup snatched :)
