Wanted something quieter for my fairly small rehearsal space since a couple of my bands have 8 people in them. This just might be a reasonable solution that doesn't sacrifice the feel of a real drum kit, even if it comes at the cost of the sound quality.

Thanks man, it's actually just one of the options for the Gretsch Catalina Club, at least it was when I picked it up a handful of years ago!
