Testo 310 Residential Commercial Combustion Analyzer 

Jim, thanks for the great video. One thing I want to add for any UK viewers is that the 310 can be configured with a country code which sets up the range of parameters displayed for a flue gas analysis. In the UK one of the most important measurements is the ratio of CO to CO2. This is not shown in the video because Jim has the instrument set up for the US. With the UK setting the 310 displays "ratio" in the top measurement line.

It comes set up, all you might have to change is the units of measure. This unit is designed to work pretty much right out of the box.

So for a direct vent boiler if the flue pipe is a short piece and i do have access to where it terminates outside do I still need to make a hole?can i go outside to take measures without drilling a hole?

For Natural gas boiler atmospheric system what should my minimum stack temp be at? I had one that was condensating out of chimney and stack temp was only 220 F.

Hello, thank you for the video, do you know how to change the cells of the Testo 310. Disassembly is probably done by removing the large rubber casing which surrounds the device. Do you have your own process?

Hai sir, accidentally the gun wire came off, can you please tell me how to open the outer cover of the gun, so I can plug the wire into the circuit again.., I'm in site so it's hard to give it to service and get it back in time.

I just got one of these, but stupidly bought the kit without printer before buying printer separately. Unfortunately I have zero idea how to sync the printer up with the combustion analyzer, I hit the print button on the combustion analyzer but nothing comes out of the printer, I hold the print button on the printer but blank paper feeds out...can someone explain to me what am I doing wrong?

90.6% AFUE - what was the advertised efficiency of that furnace? Embarrassingly, the calculated AFUE will typically be somewhat less than the advertised efficiency meaning you might have some explaining to do when the customer sees the printout. Also, you should be using a manufacturer certified test port instead of drilling a hole. It’s possible the flue pipe could have raw natural gas inside...a failed ignition attempt will have upwards of 5 seconds worth of raw gas in the flue some of which could leak into the house if the plug ever fell out. Not that such a small amount of gas would cause a disaster (however, you never know) but it could easily generate a gas odor complaint leading to a zero revenue service call.
