He wasnt really going 135, those wheels are way smaller than the street bike tires that speedo was calibrated for. Edit: nevermind, saw a comment where you said it was calibrated using GPS. You're nuts dude lol
Sorry everyone I sold the golf cart. Had to make room for the next project. I'm heading for the clouds now. I bought a plane. They can't be to hard to fly.
And this one is built right. 4 wheel independent suspension, compression and rebound damp adjustable, power commander, titanium duel exhaust, D.O.T tires, (needs new tires) disk brakes, fuel injected, I have put over 1000+ miles on this thing already and has not broke down once!! I did crash it twice. bent a wheel each time
This is by far the most outrageous build and run of a golf cart with a bike engine, this is so awesome wow.. Please man watch those wheel bearings and assemblies lol that is so crazy
No different then if your wheel bearing went out in your car. I have had a front wheel blow out, and rear wheel for that matter. It is still controllable. It has 4 wheel independent suspension with compression and rebound adjustable dampening. plus 4 wheel disk brakes. It handles like a sports car, if not better.
It took me two days just sitting looking at the front end. Another three days trying out ideas, then about a week playing with the adjustments getting it right. No bump steer or anything. it drives like a sports car!
I'm in California, but I can ship to any state. Coming up with a price is hard. I listed it on Ebay once and the highest bid was 3,800. I have a reserve price of like 10k, just to see what would happen. I have two years of building and about 3,000 in parts. The golf cart was given to me. I'm not sure, Make me an offer. If you seen it in person and drove it you would more impressed then from watching a video. ITS FAST! If you lesion to the video and hear the motor, I'm not even on the throttle. The motor comes alive about 9 to 10,000 RPMs. And it handles and drives like a sports car. The only thing on it that is part of the golf cart is the fiberglass body, and that has been modified for the front mounted radiator and air box. and the steering wheel is stock.
No I used the control arms and cv axles from a Polaris outlaw quad. the mono shocks from two gsxr 1000s. It is Chain driven and uses a starter motor for reverse. I have the build pictures, I just don't know how to make a video with them so I can post it.
@@prodieseltech_ Hey, I love the golf cart. I am doing a similar build and was wondering if you would be willing to share your build pictures with me? Thanks you Sir. fantasycustoms4life@gmail.com
Aloha! I'm starting a project similar to yours and was wondering what kind of suspension you have on it and what kind of steering stabilizer you have if you have one? Thanks.
The original tone wheel had 4 teeth, the difference between the gsxr tire and the golf cart tire was 24%.I made a new tone wheel with with 3 teeth and then checked it with GPS! Yes it is 100% correct. You don't know what your talking about!
Put You money where your mouth is! Bring a $1,000 and Come on down to Lodi, California. I'll take you for a ride @ 139 mph while you hold the GPS! If the speedo is incorrect I'll give you the golf Cart. If It is correct I keep your $1000. Step Up or shut up!
In California Golf carts are exempt from vehicle registration. You do not have to register them with the DMV. there is a loop hole in the law. but use it at your own risk.
139mph on that test run. The speedo was calibrated with GPS. Or you can time the yellow stripes as they go by. The Cart has independent front and rear suspension, with compression, and rebound dampening. D.O.T. rated tires that I had spin balanced at local Tire shop. (a must) And the front steering geometry must be correct. No bump steer. Even at that speed it was very comfortable to drive. It handles just like a sports car. the only limitation on it was me the driver,
Sweet cart, and definitely fast, but anybody that has been 140mph will tell you with 100% certainty, that was definitely not anywhere near that fast lol
They were dot approved Golf cart tires, Not rated for that speed and the technician at the tire shop looked at me funny when I asked him to balance the tinny wheels.
