Thanks! These climbing sticks are incredibly light weight and definitely a premium stick on the market. Using aiders is a way to reduce the cost some since you can climb higher with fewer sticks, and these sticks aren't cheap. I appreciate Gabe bringing them by to share with everybody.
I got tired of aiders and trying to find them climbing down in the dark . Im just carrying 5 sticks with no aiders. Great videa im glad i found your channel
I wish they made these for big boys I love these setups! I just haven't saw a saddle that I thought I would be comfortable in yet. Great tips tho thanks for sharing.
Next time you come over you are more than welcome to check mine out. I bought a S/M harness and have that thing sinched down pretty small, so there is quite a range in each size.
Looks like a great setup and that really seemed to knock down the noise quite a bit. I think I would try to add some to the actual steps on the outside edge to see if it helps eliminate more noise. Man they have came a long ways on these climbing sticks over the years 😂 Great job on the video guys!
Thanks brother! I think Gabe bought some more StealthStrips for the edge of the steps. If so, it would be interesting to do a follow-up Short updating the noise difference
Nice video. I recently purchased the 3 pack Tethrd. I'm also having trouble getting comfortable with the 2 step amsteel aiders. It's tough coming down, especially on a crooked tree. I'll likely go with a 4th stick and one step aiders like you. Stay safe!
"3 sticks with 18inch aiders" getting you 21-22 feet. That is bull!!! You are getting roughly 3 1/2 maybe 4 feet per stick. no way you are getting that high. I run 4 SS sticks with 20" aiders on each one and only get 19+ feet . The only way is if you are stretching them out in extreme unsafe fashion. Prove me wrong!!!
Hey bud, thanks for the comment. I don't use aiders, and I rarely hunt anywhere that requires me to hunt above 14'. When my buddy Gabe brought these over and was showing off his setup, I didn't have a baseline for determining how high he could go when he made the 21-22' claim. Although, now that you point it out and after doing the math, I definitely see the discrepancy. I know that he has now switched to double aiders on all 3 sticks because he didn't feel like he was getting high enough with the 18" aiders. Maybe we will do a follow-up video where he uses both the 18" single aiders and the double aiders, and we can physically measure how high he actually gets with both. Thanks for pointing this out, as I want this channel to be realistic and provide accurate information on all topics.
@@TNOutdoorsFanatic I apologize for coming off too hazy and abrupt I need to do better myself Appreciate your video and effort Have a great Christmas and New Years!!!
@arthurcarstens No worries, & same to you sir! I just checked out your channel, & I like what you are doing! Keep up the good work, and thanks for pointing out that height discrepancy. I just texted my buddy, and he said that he was actually closer to 16’ with this setup after he actually hunted out of it a few times this season.
That is something I have been thinking about and why I haven’t made the jump to aiders yet. Although, if I do, then it would probably just be on the bottom until I decide if I like them.
