Teto started out as an April Fool's joke. When she calls you stupid she is really saying "April Fool!" it's the finish of the gag. In Triple Baka the girls calling each other Baka (Stupid) is actually a sign of affection.
She is actually calling you April Fool in the original joke. Most people do not make the association. Also Teto is supposed to be the personality type where "Baka" (Fool) can be used as a term of affection, the meaning is flipped.
actually エイプリルフール is april fool in japanese. even the subtitles in most of the songs say "you really are an idiot". thats even what the official triple baka video says. her birthday is April 1st though. also, i put in the description that i didnt make the video, it was from tiktok, and it wasnt on youtube, so i decided to upload it. in the end, its all up to viewer interpretation i guess. haha😄
