@@CardiacYew Clearly Obi-Wan. Shaggy tryna be cool or some shit. If he wanted it, he could already win, but now he's trying to throw this in favor of Obi-Wan.
How does no one's attacking him for like an entire minute? Every time I play, I have like 5 people attacking and the trash bar on the side is almost filled 30 seconds after the game started =') Maybe I just suck at this game.
Well, if you're using attackers, and you're being targeted by a lot of people, you get a huge multiplier on your attacks. Clearing a double line can send 6 lines to each person, if you're being targeted by 5 people.
It's super easy to block attacks when you're being targeted by a lot of people. You get a huge linear line bonus when you're being targetted by multiple people. So even then, you don't have to clear a lot of lines to defend against a shit ton of garbage.
You kinda do have to though. The only reason why he won was because no one attacked him. If someone attacked him, especially since he used the quadruple T-Spin triple opener, which is one of the slowest builds to make, he would be toast.
@@panaman6938 Jonas and heather Neubauer play tetris 99 a decent ammount and win a quite a bit and while they arent slow players they are far from fast players in this situation yeah this man is lucky buy Speed doesnt always mean you are good at the game.
You don’t have to ... but if you can do it without misdropping repeatedly then you should. No one really attacked Lythero at the beginning here, so he could make this crazy setup.
What isn’t this man good at? He’s good at Smash, god tier at Tetris, and if it were an Esport, he’d be the reigning international champion at Mario Kart.
@thesatanic6 sorry that this is late, there are a few t spins tutorials on youtube and it depends on if it's a single, double or triple and iirc doubles and triples sends more than tetrises do Basically you neef different set ups for single, double and triple, single requires the blocks that should be blocked to be 1 on the top right and 3 at the bottom (imagine a 3×3 square), double reuires it to be 2 at the bottom and 1 in the top left (might be wrong on which one which) And then triple requires the set up you see here
If anything this guy is showing off, TST towers are slow to build and make it easy to get spiked. Wumbo plays very practically, the only things he do which could be seen as showing off is when he does Godspin which is even more weak and impractical than a TST Tower. (Although it's a lot more cool)
I tried doing this my very first match when the game dropped. I lasted 30 seconds. T spin doubles are where it's at unless you have the vision to make this happen in a match.
I created the same exact build you did and I can not get it to t spin into place it doesn’t fit what am I doing wrong I tried rotating it both clockwise and counter
Oh shit! I remember seeing the name Lythero in leaderboards when i was playing... i gotta check his recordings to see if he caught the game that i got second place!
I won a match by sheer luck cuz everyone was killing eachother. And this man won a match by obliterating everyone who dared to target him. That's scary and horny equally.
A t spin is just rotating the Tetrimino T piece into a specific spot where it'll clear lines. But you HAVE to rotate it or "spin" it into position. I don't know the differences between the single double and triple
@@synxer5474 The difference is how many lines are being cleared by the t-spin. It gets its importance because since T-spins are so valuable you want to do them consistently and have to set them up (aka build in a way that will let you do a t-spin and clear lines at the same time) to do so.
trying to see if this is realistic at all for me this is so hard it kinda forces you to build better i keep messing this up my first couple of times xD
its cute how slow you play. good t spin setup tho. a bit too time consuming to consistently do early. next time make sure youre flashing red with no attack queue. thats the ideal autolock condition.
@@adamheeley285 Well okay, they may have *technically* existed in some form as a way to fix a gap, but you weren't rewarded for doing a t spin back then and they didn't have a name, so it's irrelevant to my point. The lack of hold and no 7 bag randomizer would have made them extremely hard to make even if you were rewarded for them. My point is Tetris has evolved a lot if you hadn't realised (not a sarcastic comment you genuinely may not be familiar with the new mechanics). Back then a Tetris was the strongest attack, now it's combos and t spins. But changing the name of the game would be a bad marketing idea as it's the same game just evolved, and Tetris is insanely popular. I played the original on my Gameboy 30 years ago too. Also forgot to say I think a Tetris and t spin double send the same amount of lines (4), so not sure if that guys comment was accurate. A t spin triple sends 6. Unless this game is different from all the others.
(*Me playing and then I'm about to lose but there's a space that can make a lot if combos and I can win*) I CAN DO IT!!! (*so nervous that puts it on the wrong place and lose*) *FUUUUUUUUCK!!!!*
Okay, this video alone has convinced me t99 is total trash lol. Building a stack that high that slowly would get you koed in 10 seconds on Tetrisfriends or jstris
Well, I'm talking about Tetris Arena where you only get one life, not Battle and other modes against bots where you get 3 lives or infinite lives in 3 minutes. In multiplayer against real people taking literally minutes to build a stack like that will get you koed in seconds.
